I think the place is really nice I been there 3 times, but on my third visit I asked the owner or the front desk lady I wanted a design on one of my nails she said ok .
But the lady who was doing it kept telling me they didn't have the colors to do the watermelon design which are pink white and green,...those are pretty basic colors ,she kept telling me I don't need anything on my nails I should get a flower, I said no I asked for this and the lady in the front desk didn't think it was a problem.
Later on I found out the lady didn't want or knew how to do it and I was transferred to the lady who did my pedi to finish it .
A bit more communication and honesty is key
Still think is a nice place
First time…& LAST time customer.
Let me start positively because that’s how my experience began for the most part…
The pedicure was beautiful and relaxing and was terrific after a long day.
Not until I reached the front desk did this woman, who was wearing a dress shirt and was the one who checked me in (unsure if this is the owner or manager)…
I went to pay, and since it was my first time didn’t know they didn’t do tip on a card (most places do now). She started hassling me and making it seem like I was expected to know this already… she was defensive and hostile, and finally, she said, “this one time, you can add the tip on your card.”
Then I was adding the tip out loud and thinking… and said she yelled out in a callus/rushed way what the tip total would be!!!
Unfortunately, a beautiful start ended with such a RUDE person,
Never going back.
You only have ONE chance for a first impression.
Sadly, she’s the first person that makes that.
The results of my mani and pedi were great! They look beautiful (shoutout to Wendy), but the ladies have a nasty attitude. The lady at the front desk is so rude and just rushes you out of there! And the woman who did my manicure kept pushing me to do a gel mani when I said numerous times that I just wanted a regular mani and pedi.
Don’t see myself coming back here after spending 80 dollars just for my gel manicure to peel the very next day. People were nice but that doesn’t take away from the fact that my nails looked horrible.
I did not have a great experience here. They rushed through my entire mani/pedi, so fast that I had to ask them to slow down and properly file my nails. When cutting my cuticles, they just touched each side of my nail once or twice with the cutter but didn’t actually cut anything. I wouldn’t even call what they give a massage.. it’s more like a quick 30sec “rub” (if you can even call it that); it’s pretty sad and doesn’t even feel great. They have no idea how to do a French tip. It was messy, crooked and the lines were far from clean; blurred into the clear polish. They took off the entire manicure and I just had them do a solid color. The solid polish looked nice in the end, but the manicurist also wasn’t rushing at this point and actually took her time. I would not recommend Posh Nails and have no idea why they have high ratings unless it’s inflated.
I’m giving two stars for customer service but the actual nail service was terrible. If you’re thinking of getting a powder manicure. DON’T. Today I got a powder manicure the woman was very nice, and welcoming.
Firstly, my nails were a damaged. I explained to the woman that the shop before gave me hard gel and I didn’t want anything else to do with Gel and that I wanted powder which Is why I choose this shop as the others I found didn’t have powder.
She agreed Powder was better but let me explain where it went left.
First I had to ask to wash my hands which is unacceptable we’re in a pandemic. It’s disgusting that they stick everyone’s hand from outside in the dip powered.
Second she used top coat as a base coat which doesn’t make any sense to me.
Lastly after she applied the powder is was terrible and she tried to even it out with the electric nail file this left a “ashy look” and a bunch of white specs. She said she was going to fix it and proceeded to use a gel top coat to make it look shiny after I specifically said I do NOT want anything to do with Gel.
In conclusion. The nail job was terrible but the woman was very nice.
I love Connie! I followed her out to Manhattan Beach from a previous location. It’s definitely worth the drive. A relaxing atmosphere. Connie and I play who’s the boss each visit. That means which one of us picks out my color for the day. She knows what I like. All of the ladies are so nice. I strongly recommend Posh Nails.
My nails were very crooked, uneven, and way too thick. Not only that but she got my nail shape wrong as well because this was not what I asked for. The ombré was not done right as well. They charged me $120 even though I was very unhappy with it so I went back to get it fixed like they said I could and they tried to charge me again and the lady was so rude to me just because I didn’t like her work. It was nothing personal but they were very childish and unprofessional about the whole situation. Very disappointed and I won’t be coming back
