Quick Facts About Potter's Inn

Potter's Inn place has several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, the staff at Potter's Inn place are consistently praised for being friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. This creates a welcoming and positive atmosphere for guests. Additionally, the outdoor seating area is commended for being in a nice quiet setting and offering a view of the river, allowing guests to enjoy the tranquil surroundings, watch boats and wildlife, and dine in a picturesque environment.
The establishment is also commended for its food and service. The restaurant is described as excellent, with great food and service. The quality of the food, combined with the lovely canal side setting, creates a great place for families to enjoy a meal together. The reviewers also mention the reasonable prices of the drinks, further enhancing the appeal of the establishment.
Another strength mentioned is the availability of different amenities. The establishment offers a combination of a sports bar with a pool table and a separate spacious restaurant. This provides options for guests depending on their preferences. The comfortable hotel with spacious rooms is also mentioned positively, indicating that Potter's Inn place is not just a dining establishment but also a place for accommodation.
Furthermore, the establishment's handling of COVID-19 restrictions is praised. They are mentioned to have separated groups into one table per household and ensured guests had enough to drink while adhering to guidelines. Despite these strengths, there are also some weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One reviewer highlights the lack of a gluten-free alcoholic drink option. This can be seen as a limitation for individuals with dietary restrictions who may not be able to fully enjoy the drink options available at the establishment.
Another weakness mentioned is the establishment's strict policy regarding pets. A potential customer shares a negative experience where they were not allowed to bring their well-behaved dogs into the garden area, missing out on the opportunity to enjoy the canal-side seating after a long walk. In conclusion, Potter's Inn place has several strengths, including friendly staff, a pleasant outdoor seating area, great food and service, a combination of a sports bar and restaurant, and accommodations. However, there are also weaknesses, such as the lack of a gluten-free alcoholic drink option and the strict no-pet policy. I have had no experience of this establishment ... sadly we were given our marching orders in no uncertain terms, before we were anywhere near the front door ...... Why? Because we had our two, very well behaved Cocker Spaniels with us. We had been looking forward to sitting in the garden, alongside the canal, after our very long walk, along the river bank .... but no
..... Very sad , they must lose such a great deal of business ..... Hmmmm, their loss ... I shall most certainly advise any friends and family to NEVER EVER go there
Very pleasant environment to spend the evening combination of sports bar with pool table and separate spacious restaurant overlooking the patio and Basingstoke canal. Food was very good and staff were very helpful and courteous. Throughly good evening for us and four friends
As we were on tier 2, they were excellent, they separated our walking group into one table per household and ensured we had enough to drink whilst eating our substantial lunch.
Great bar with lovely staff. Great restaurant with great staff and well prepared food. Comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. Clean, welcoming. Free WiFi. Free parking. Beautiful scenery. Would stay again if I the area.
