Quick Facts About Prestige Barbershop

Prestige Barbershop is a barber shop with a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. These comments highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment.
One strength mentioned is that the barbershop is located close to where the customer lives, making it convenient. Additionally, one comment mentioned that Dominican-owned barbershops generally have excellent barbers, indicating that there may be skilled barbers at Prestige Barbershop. Another positive comment praised the barber named Victor for his ability to deliver a perfect haircut on the first try.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses mentioned by customers. One common complaint is the lack of customer service. Multiple comments mention that they were not acknowledged or greeted upon entering the shop, creating a negative first impression. This lack of communication and attentiveness can lead to dissatisfaction among customers, as they expect a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Another weakness highlighted is the unprofessional behavior of some barbers. One customer mentioned that a barber was constantly texting while cutting hair, which is considered unprofessional and distracting. This behavior can lead to a lack of focus and potentially result in subpar haircuts. Customers expect barbers to be fully engaged in their work and pay attention to details.
Furthermore, there is a complaint about the appointment system. A customer mentioned that the barbershop did not keep up with their appointments and refused to cut hair even though there was still time before closing. This lack of organization and refusal to accommodate can leave customers feeling frustrated and unsupported.
A concerning weakness brought up in one of the comments is the disregard for health and safety protocols during the pandemic. The customer, who is a nurse, mentioned that not all barbers and clients wore masks, posing a risk to staff and clients' health. Failure to prioritize health and safety can be detrimental to the reputation and trustworthiness of the establishment.
Another significant weakness mentioned is the inconsistency in the quality of haircuts. Multiple comments suggest that not all barbers at Prestige Barbershop are skilled or capable of delivering satisfactory haircuts. This inconsistency can lead to customer dissatisfaction and uncertainty when choosing a barber at the shop.
In addition to the weaknesses mentioned, there was a complaint about misleading information regarding closing times. A customer claimed that the barbershop falsely informed them that they were closing early and then refused to let them in when they returned after double-checking the closing times online. This type of miscommunication and inconvenience can create a negative impression and drive potential customers away.
Overall, Prestige Barbershop has some strengths, such as its convenient location and potential for skilled barbers. However, there are several weaknesses that include lack of customer service, unprofessional behavior, disregard for health and safety protocols, inconsistency in the quality of haircuts, and miscommunication regarding closing times. These weaknesses can impact the overall customer experience and satisfaction with the barbershop.

Horrible experience, no one acknowledged me for over 30 minutes. Lots of guys walking in the shop in beer cans . One of the barbers is constantly texting while cutting hair , he is not focused and really unprofessional. You would imagine a barber should be focused and not text a few seconds what a horrible sight to witness.
I usually like Dominican owned barbershops. Dominicans are usually excellent barbers. By that standard these guys are okay. I went here because it's close to where I live. When I walked in I got some looks but no greeting. They don't communicate much and didn't follow my instructions fully. I feel I have a simple haircut, it's a hipster style, long in the middle with short hair on the sides (not a skin fade just short on the sides). I explained this to my barber and showed him a picture of me from earlier with the exact same haircut. I asked him if he felt he could give me the same style. He nodded and went to work. The resulting haircut wasn't great. He put in a decent effort but he wasn't able to give me the style I wanted. I was also surprised by the lack of customer service. I walked in and no one looked at me or said hello. Overall, it was not a great experience I probably won't be back.
Decent place but they're not as professional as i wanted. Good haircut place if you're out of options.
Been going to this barbershop for years, got great haircuts, and was always a good experience. During the pandemic and mask requirements, most recently I have decided to leave this barbershop because not all barbers wore masks. They also do not require their clients to wear masks. I’m a nurse, and now it’s mandated for patients to wear masks in the hospital. There is no reason for clients not to wear masks... when it’s time to cut around the ears simply lift that part of the mask off for a minute, and vice versa. Looking for a new barbershop that values their staff and clients health and safety. A shame
The door n website says Saturday closing at 8pm. Came in at 7:30 pm. Was told to come in tomorrow cuz they were closing. Went back to my car googled barber shops near me still open. They popped up and without realizing it was their shop I called to confirm if they were still open. The guy on the phone said yes they are but closing soon. Put in google maps directions and turned out to be the same place I was at earlier. Went to the door and the guy who told me they were closing earlier was there and answered the phone as well. Door was locked and didn't let me in and was looking at me like I was an idiot. Do not go to this barber shop for they are not only liars about closing times but will waste your time. They actually deserve ZERO STARS.
Was in town for a long weekend from DC and needed a hair cut badly. Went to Victor, barely told him what I wanted and he got it perfect for me first time. Quick but took his time, did a fantastic job and definitely worth the stop.
I come to Long Island a couple of times a year and before I go anywhere, see anybody or anything else I visit these guys FIRST! Being a REDNECK from ALABAMA I don't get the music or sometimes the language but what I do get is 1st class service and attention to detail. These guys get that done every time! Tops in my book!
Only some of them cut nice hair. They are rude and don't keep up with their appointments. Went in almost 30 minutes before they were closing and said they can't cut hair because they have to go home. Hair cutting: 3 Service: 0
