Quick Facts About Q-Nails
Q-Nails place, under new ownership, has received a mix of positive and negative reviews from customers. In order to provide an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, we will examine the comments provided.
Starting with the positive feedback, several customers praised the service and treatment they received at Q-Nails place. They highly recommended others to try it out and expressed their intention to return. This indicates that there are strengths in the overall service and customer satisfaction provided by the salon. The positive experiences were primarily attributed to specific nail technicians, such as Hannah and Janelle, who were commended for their skills and friendly demeanor.
In addition to the quality of service, the affordable prices of Q-Nails place were also highlighted as a strength. One customer mentioned that the full set price of $47 was a great deal and could not be found elsewhere. This competitive pricing may attract more customers to the salon and contribute to its success.
However, there were also several negative reviews that pointed out weaknesses and areas for improvement at Q-Nails place. One customer expressed dissatisfaction with the nail technician's work, particularly in regards to shaping and gluing the plastic tops on their nails. The customer felt that the technician did not follow their instructions and made the nails uneven. This highlights a potential weakness in the attention to detail and communication between customers and technicians. Additionally, the customer's experience was further impacted by a long wait time and an incident where they felt that their race may have played a role in the treatment they received.
Another negative review mentioned a specific incident of unhygienic practices, as the customer observed that the metal tools used on them were not sanitized and may have been previously used. This raises concerns about the salon's commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers. Furthermore, the review mentioned a lack of professionalism and attentiveness from the salon's owner, Diana, who seemed more focused on personal conversations rather than providing quality service.
Another major weakness highlighted by a customer was the experience of receiving a chemical burn during a pedicure. This raises a serious concern about the training and expertise of the staff at Q-Nails place. The customer mentioned that the pedicurist used a callus remover, which caused the chemical burn when it came into contact with the top of their foot. The lack of proper response and follow-up from Diana, the salon's owner, further adds to the negative experience.
While there was one very positive review from a customer who brings their elderly mother to the salon, stating that the staff takes excellent care of her, it is important to note that this is only one positive review out of the multiple negative comments regarding the salon's professionalism, hygiene, and customer service.
In conclusion, Q-Nails place has strengths in terms of competitive pricing and positive feedback about specific nail technicians. However, the salon also has clear weaknesses in terms of attention to detail, hygiene practices, professionalism, and customer service. These weaknesses need to be addressed and improved upon to ensure a positive and safe experience for customers.

Really good service - loved the treatment.
Highly recommend to try.
I will be returning for sure.
Hannah did amazing work on my nails. I was looking for a place open later than 7pm and her place was open till 7:30 so I called to see if I can get in and she squeezed me in! She even worked on my nails till 9pm. She's really good at what she does and very sweet mannered.
They have really good prices of full set for $47 can't get that anywhere else Hannah is the best just ask for Hannah
Worst nail salon experience I’ve had. Had an appointment for brows and gel set, got there early. Did my brows, excellent. Started shaping and gluing the plastic tops on my nails, very badly. I showed her a photo, she made the pinky and the thumb the correct length then everything else extremely short and uneven. When I mentioned it, she insisted that it was correct. I asked if I could please have them a little longer, just like the photo, she said okay but I’ll have to charge you more for longer, which made no sense to me because I showed her the photograph when getting the price but whatever so I said that was fine and she was super nice about it and redid the middle three for me which I appreciated. Then a middle aged Caucasian woman walked in (hate to be one of those people but I do feel the need to mention it, being as I am a woman of color) and she asked me if she could finish my tips, then have me wait a few minutes while she went to go do her tips, then come back to finish me and that she would give me a discount. I was in no rush so I was totally cool with that, I sat to wait for a few moments, about half an hour goes by, I realize she’s gone far beyond the woman’s tips. She’s finishing up the acrylic and getting ready to start painting. At about 45 minutes or waiting I need to be somewhere soon so I tell her I’m stepping outside and I’ll be right back, she says okay. I go next door to get change. As I’m waiting in line, after about 3 minutes she comes into the store. I get the feeling she felt I was going to walk out without paying for my brows. I originally went to get change to give her a tip but after that I was so over the experience I just gave her exact change, and left.
I don’t want to say it was a race thing because I don’t know. Maybe the other woman was a friend or a regular of hers. Maybe she’s been walked out on before so she’s hesitant of anybody stepping outside. Regardless, the entire experience was beyond frustrating.
Went across the street to a place called spa nails and waxing with my crooked uneven plastic tips, the Lady there (Linda) fixed me up so darn fast my head spun. It was a tad more expensive ($55 vs $48) & she’s a tad rough, might have dislocated a couple fingers lol but it was so fast so perfect and looked so fantastic that I did not care one bit. You can tell she knew exactly what she was doing.
Sorry for the darn essay but there ya go.
you’ve got to be kidding me. $50 for this. the nail techs here are always in a hurry; they don’t care about providing quality service, only about getting you in and out. good luck if there’s a crowd.
Like how this place closes later than other places. PLEASE KNOW that Janelle is really nice, takes time to make you feel relaxed, and does a great job with the polish/colors. I wish she was more gentle when she cleans the cuticles and removes ingrown nails. She's a little heavy handed and my feet are sensitive during that process.
I would show a picture of my infected toe nail but I won't. Pus is coming out with a little blood and its swollen. I think this happened when she was really digging in to my ingrown to remove it. I did notice that the metal tools that were used were not sanitized. They did not come out of the sanitized plastic pouch and was open, possibly used. I knew I was taking a chance.
Really want to rate 2.5 stars but rated 3 stars because Janelle is really nice and maybe this was just a flux and they really provide great service? Not sure if I'd come back?
Will not return, I have been a customer for 3 years and things steadily have gone down hill. Diana has hired 2 new employees one with 30 year experience. Well her 30 years of experience got me a significant chemical burn on the top of my foot and now a scar. I believe it would be more correct to say her experience was 30 year ago! The woman who did my pedicure used callus removed on the bottom of my feet which was okay until this caustic chemical was transferred to the top of my foot by her gloves giving me this chemical burn! I told her it was burning my foot and Diana told her to put it in water. Well that was too late, fortunately I am not a diabetic but this could be a real problem if you were. I went back the next day to talk to Diana and I told her I was pretty upset over the burn that I'd received. She told the woman has burned other customers and gave me Neosporin. She did not even offer to refund my money for the visit.
This photo is from the next day and then 3 weeks later. During my visit I told Diana that I did not want the manicure while the pedicure was going on but she didn't listen. She spent more time talking about her new tummy tuck that her husband made her get, rather than my manicure. I ended up with my ring finger being cut by the file and subsequent mild infection. They are reusing the same filed on each customer transferring bacteria and body fluid on the file. The language barrier has always been a challenge but this was the last straw. I would avoid this place.
I bring my 80 year old mom here to get her nails done. The staff is amazing. They take such great care of her, to make sure that her diabetic feet are checked, nails are always done beautifully, and they help her in and out of the spa chair to keep her safe from falling. We love them. 10 stars!
