Quick Facts About Serenity A Nail Bar & Spa
Serenity A Nail Bar & Spa appears to have both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, many of the commenters praised the nail technicians for their skills and expertise. Nick and Lauren were mentioned specifically as being great at what they do, with customers expressing their satisfaction with the nail and lash services they received. The commenters also appreciated the fact that the staff was friendly and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere for customers. Additionally, the prices were mentioned as being reasonable, which suggests that the salon offers good value for money.
Another positive aspect mentioned in the comments is the cleanliness of the salon. Several commenters specifically mentioned that the pedicures were great and that the salon maintains high standards of cleanliness. This is an important factor for many customers when choosing a nail salon.
However, there are also several weaknesses that were highlighted in the comments. One recurring issue is inconsistency and lack of attention to detail. For example, one commenter mentioned that their nail technician applied the dip powder too thin, causing their nail to break shortly after. Additionally, another commenter mentioned that their nail technician used gel polish for a French tip instead of dip powder, resulting in a mismatched look. These incidents suggest that the salon may have issues with training and consistency among its nail technicians.
Another common complaint is that the nails done at Serenity A Nail Bar & Spa were too thin and prone to breaking. Multiple commenters mentioned that their nails broke shortly after getting them done, which is highly disappointing considering the price they paid for the service. This suggests that the salon may not prioritize quality and durability in their nail services.
Additionally, a few commenters mentioned issues with the overall process and customer experience. One commenter mentioned that they were charged an additional $20 that they were not informed about beforehand, implying a lack of transparency in pricing. Another commenter mentioned that they were dissatisfied with the response of the staff when they requested a fix for their nails, suggesting a lack of willingness to rectify mistakes.
Furthermore, the lack of proper seating for pedicures was mentioned as a downside by one commenter, who felt that their personal space was invaded due to the bench-style seating arrangement. This highlights a potential comfort issue for customers during pedicures.
In conclusion, Serenity A Nail Bar & Spa has strengths in terms of skilled staff, reasonable prices, and cleanliness. However, there are weaknesses in terms of inconsistency, lack of attention to detail, thin and easily breakable nails, transparency in pricing, and discomfort during pedicures. These comments provide valuable feedback for the salon to improve upon and address these weaknesses in order to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

I came and got my nails done on Valentine’s Day. My nails looked amazing and the nail tech was nice but he Applied the dip powder so thin my nail snapped in half opening a box of chips for my daughter 2 days later. I came back in to get them fixed they offered to fix the one nail for free as I just got them done but not I’m stuck with 9 other nails that are still just as thin as my regular nails which are bound to break and I haven’t even had them for a week yet. Not to mention that the red used wasn’t the same as my original I had dip powder and she used gel Polish for my French tip and the shipping is way off from my other nails. Even the outline on the French is off. I was not satisfied with the response to fixing the issue at hand and will not be back. I was told one price and charged an additional $20 when it was time to pay and for $90 I expect for my nails to be more thick and sturdy and not breaking 2 days in and them not wanting to fix their mistake by making them thicker so they can last! Can you tell the one that has to be redone?
Update: I had to change my review from a 2 star to a 1 because just like I said the nails are too thin and the next day the nail next to the one they fixed broke! $90 and not even a week of wear. More pictures attached.
I used to come to this nail shop before the new owner took over but stopped because they weren’t consistent. But Nick (the new owner) is down to earth, he excels at whatever design I give him, he’s fast and takes pride in his work. Kathy does my husband and I’s pedicures, she’s great too! Very neat and gentle. The prices are reasonable and it’s normally not really that busy during the week. But if you visit, ask for Nick and Kathy, although everyone in there does a good job!
Nick and Lauren are the best! I’m just moving here to Douglasville, and I have not been disappointed! Very great customer service as well! Lauren does great lash extensions I will not let anyone touch my lashes! And Nick is highly recommended on nails! STOP BY AND SEE THEM!!!!!
Nick and Louran do amazing work that atmosphere is very welcoming the staff is nice. They are quick and precise. Will be coming back
First time a couple of weeks ago. Nick is friendly. Customer service by the other are great. I didn’t see his wife. Atmosphere is calming. I’m going back today… no I do not live in douglasville, but I do not mind driving a distance for the services.
My daughter and I visited this salon last month to get our nails done, as I was looking for a more affordable salon to get a manicure than my existing. I also was toying with the idea of using my existing salon as the backup to Serenity Nail Bar & Spa (ex. if my Serenity nail tech was not in or too busy when I returned)
The nail tech I went with was SUPER friendly! I went in with gel polish and wanted a regular manicure (with gel polish). I had one fingernail that was torn (prior to this service), and I told my tech that I wanted to get it fixed.
My tech removed the old polish and then proceeded to use a drill on my natural nail. There were multiple times that I had hot spots while my tech was filing (using the drill on) my natural nail. She asked if I would like my nails cut down, which I replied yes. She repaired my torn nail with SNS, and I had to ask her to cut the nail down more, as it was still noticeably longer than the same nail on my other hand.
I paid for my service and left. Upon further inspection of my nails, I noticed:
9 of my 10 nails had dips on them (from the drill being used)
6 of my 10 nails had spots where the color was not as thick (she did apply two coats of the color, but parts are still see-through - possibly due to the color being a light pink)
4 of my 10 nails had the shape different than others (I like the squared look)
3 of my 10 nail lengths were not the same (1 noticeably longer than the other when you compare with my other hand)
I have attached some photos of my nails. Please disregard my cuticles/sides of my fingers (my nail tech did a wonderful job of cutting my cuticles), as they always look raggedy (I have a nervous habit) after a few days, which is when I snapped these photos.
As I mentioned, my nail tech was super friendly and we had a wonderful conversation throughout my service. I wish the quality was as awesome as our conversation. I will not be returning to this salon because of this (my daughter is also not super pleased with her service). Also, while I did not receive a pedicure (so can not speak on that service), I did notice that they do not offer massage chairs at the pedicure stations (which I really enjoy when I do get a pedi).
The search for a main/backup location continues.
Is been a while since i had my nails done but this salon was very helpful nick to his time and made sure my nails was perfect his wife als did an amazing job on my lashes will definitely be going back
***Update**** decided to give them another try after not going there for 2 years and it got worse! I went in for SNS and I should have known by the way that they present their colors that I should have walked out. The colors on the wheel are just blobbed on there with no top coat to show how the finished product looked. They do not follow the SNS process at all and they mix the products of different brands of dipping powder. With SNS it is supposed to feel like your natural nails and I feel like I have a glob of acrylic on my nails. The color is uneven and it already looks like I need them redone and it has only been 3 days! Again, the pedicure was good but I suggest just avoiding this place all together. And on their wall it says no refunds and I feel like if that has to be stated, then there have probably been a significant amount of complaints about the quality of work. Never again!
*********
Pedicures are great, and they are very clean. I do wish that the seating was better for pedicures, I feel like the person next to me is kind of in my personal space since it is basically one big bench.
I get gel powder sets and I am less than satisfied. I have gone here for about 4 months and for some reason every time I get a fill one or more of my nails crack on the side. I thought maybe I just need a new set, but that did not help. I have NEVER has this issue in all 8 years of my experience with gel nails. So I will no longer be going there for my nails, maybe pedicures but not gel nails.
I have heard a lot of good things about the gel polish manicures, but that's not my thing.
