2. Limited Choice and Understaffed: On a particular day, the commenter mentions an understaffed cafe with limited food choices. This suggests that there may be times when the cafe is not able to cater to all customer preferences due to staffing issues.
3. Lack of Cake Selection and Weak Coffee: Another comment mentions that the cake selection is not extensive and the coffee is too weak for their taste. This indicates that the variety of cakes and the strength of the coffee may not meet the expectations of all customers.
4. Accessibility: A downside mentioned in the comments is the presence of steps in the cafe and tables, making it less accessible for wheelchair users or individuals with mobility issues.
Considering the strengths and weaknesses identified in the comments, Revelation place mainly excels in providing affordable and delicious food, friendly service, vegetarian options, and a peaceful atmosphere. However, there are some areas that could be improved, such as expanding the cake selection, addressing understaffing issues, extending the opening hours, and improving accessibility. Despite these weaknesses, the majority of the comments indicate that Revelation place is a well-run establishment that provides a positive dining experience.

I had the midweek homecooked special, it was £4:95 and a huge portion. There is nothing to not like about this place, and I fully recommend it. Abbie was especially kind and friendly. But the cafe closes at 3pm the bookshop at 4pm. So timing is key. I believe they open at 10am but forgive me if it's 9!!! And they do a very good breakfast (and, also for vegetarians) until 11am. And has good options for vegetarians for brunch and lunch. They also do take aways, if you don't want to eat in. I suppose, their only downside, are a couple of steps to get to the cafe and tables from the bookshop, so maybe not that easy for those who can't get out of a wheelchair. And there were clean and well stocked toilets.
Drink was reasonably priced and good sized portions. Staff were lovely and friendly, and even though you are in a church, it doesn't feel like you are. It just feels like a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Had a lovely lunch but limited choice as cafe was understaffed on day I went. Staff working though we're really very nice and helpful.
Enjoyed a morning coffee here. The setting was not very, although there wasn’t much cake selection and the coffee was a bit too weak for me.
Still, the unusual setting made up for it.
I have always found the Cafe and Religious book shop very welcoming and very well run . Lovely food and drinks
