Quick Facts About Rob's Fish & Chip Shop
Rob's Fish & Chip Shop has received mostly positive comments, with customers praising the quality of the food and the service provided. The strengths of the restaurant can be summarized as follows:
1. Excellent food: Many customers have commented on the excellent quality of the food at Rob's Fish & Chip Shop. The chips are consistently described as the best they have had from any chippy, and the fish is praised for being cooked fresh and tasting delicious. This highlights the key strength of the chippy, which is its ability to consistently deliver high-quality food.
2. Popularity and demand: The fact that there is always a long queue at Rob's Fish & Chip Shop indicates its popularity among customers. This demonstrates that the chippy has a strong customer base and is highly regarded within the area. The long queues also suggest that the food is in high demand, reinforcing the reputation of the place.
3. Good portions and value for money: Customers have mentioned that the portions at Rob's Fish & Chip Shop are generous and the prices are reasonable. One comment even states that a meal for six people only cost £21, indicating that customers feel they are getting a good deal for the price they pay. This strength contributes to the chippy's popularity and customer satisfaction.
4. Friendly staff and excellent service: The staff at Rob's Fish & Chip Shop are consistently described as friendly and providing pleasant service. One customer specifically mentions a young lady who was serving alone and did a great job with excellent manners. These positive interactions with staff contribute to the overall positive experience for customers.
5. Location: Another strength of Rob's Fish & Chip Shop is its proximity to the beach. Being close enough to eat on the beach is an attractive feature for customers, as it allows them to enjoy their food in a scenic and relaxed setting. This location advantage can help attract more customers, particularly during the summer months or on sunny days.
While Rob's Fish & Chip Shop has several strengths, there are also a few weaknesses that have been mentioned in the comments:
1. Plastic forks: One customer mentions that the only downside to the experience was the use of plastic forks. This can be considered a weakness, as it suggests that the restaurant does not provide proper cutlery and may not prioritize sustainability. This can be seen as a minor issue, but it is worth noting as it affected the customer experience.
2. Long wait times: A customer mentions that they had to wait for 55 minutes in the queue, which is considered quite long. Although this customer acknowledges that the food quality was worth the wait, long waiting times can be a weakness if they become a consistent issue. This could discourage potential customers, especially those who are looking for a quick meal.
3. Inconsistent quality: One negative comment states that the chips were "absolutely awful" and the fish was not properly battered. This suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the quality of the food at times, which can be a weakness. Inconsistencies can lead to customer dissatisfaction and a negative reputation if not addressed promptly.
4. Extra charges for trays and cutlery: Another weakness mentioned is the additional charges for trays and cutlery. Customers expect these to be provided as part of the package and may feel that they are being nickel-and-dimed for basic necessities. This can create a negative perception of the restaurant and affect the overall customer experience.
In summary, Rob's Fish & Chip Shop has several strengths that have contributed to its popularity. These include excellent food, a strong customer base, good portions at reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a convenient location. However, there are also some weaknesses that need to be addressed, such as the use of plastic forks, long wait times, inconsistent food quality, and extra charges for trays and cutlery. By addressing these weaknesses, the chippy can improve the overall customer experience and maintain its position as one of the best in the area.

The most fantastic chips from a chippy, lovely fish and battered sausage, and delightfully sweet curry sauce. All for a dang good price of £21, fed 4 adults and 2 kids, noice!
Waited 55 minuets in the que, you don't even wait that in a top end restaurant!

Visited based on reviews. Wasn't disappointed, great fish and chips, quick and pleasant service. Will go again if around the area.
Good food but if you want a tray or a fork you are charged extra. Felt that these should be part of the package.
Food cooked to order so was fresh and more importantly hot. Would recommend the food but take your own cutlery and plates.
