Came here for the first time for the Sunday roast dinner and all 3 of us are presently surprised at how good the food was; the portions are generous, even the meat, and everything tasted really good and fresh.
The left overs from nan's roast (as stayed, very generous) was wrapped really well to take home.
This is one of the only places my Notoriously fussy Nan has actually liked!
The staff are friendly and the place is clean, stylish with a shipshape feel to it.
Booking is recommended.
New management. We popped in today and found a little gem. The covered yard is a lovely place to have a meal and a drink. Fish and chips, scampi and chips & burger and chips. The food was lovely and the staff so friendly, definitely going back soon.
Book for Sunday roast, you can have up to 6 meats!!! Lamb included, you need to book though.
Amazing place for lunch or dinner with great and friendly staff. I had homemade chips and mushy peas. No long time for waiting. Delicious fish. Can’t recommend more. Will definitely visit again. Vegan options available.
Just had an incredible roast dinner here. Fabulous food & service. Definitely recommend a visit if you are looking for a traditional roast in Poole, Dorset. We will visiting again soon.
Excellent "dog friendly" jewel! Really enjoyed our fish and chips. My partner has swordfish and said it was very nice. Drinks selection lovely and staff very friendly. Will be back next time we visit Poole.
We popped here with our puppy at around 7pm on Friday evening. It was perfect. Friendly welcome and stunning food. I've added pics but they don't do the food (Steak pie/ chicken burger) justice. 10/10 :-) Oh and they sell real ale which was a big bonus for me ????
We had the warmest of welcomes from Ruth and the staff, even our dog was greeted with fresh water and biscuits! The pub is beautifully decorated and the food was traditional but with their own take on classics and so delicious. We could no fault the food or service! We will definitely be back and recommend this little gem 100% in Poole. Thankyou to you all for an amazing meal. ????
