Quick Facts About Rusholme Chippy
Rusholme Chippy, located in Manchester, has garnered both positive and negative reviews from customers. By analyzing the comments provided, we can identify the strengths and weaknesses of this establishment.
Starting with the strengths, one customer commended the presentation of the food, stating that it was displayed beautifully on bread with a delightful chargrilled taste. Additionally, the charcoaled edges of the meat were praised for retaining its juices, highlighting the skill of the chefs in cooking the meat. The chips were also highly regarded, with one customer expressing their delight at the extra vinegar option. The no-frills nature of the place was also appreciated by another customer, who commended the lack of plastic in their packaging and the clean, spacious seating area. The service was also praised for being prompt and efficient, with the food arriving quickly.
On the other hand, several weaknesses of Rusholme Chippy were highlighted in the comments. One recurring complaint was the quality of the sauces provided. One customer described the chili sauce as being watered down and resembling tomato sauce, indicating a lack of flavor and authenticity in the condiments. Another significant weakness was the uncomfortable seating area. Customers complained about the freezing temperature due to drafts coming through the doors, negatively impacting the dining experience. Another critical issue raised by a customer was the lack of hygiene, as they claimed to have gotten gastroenteritis (diarrhea) following their visit, along with their friends. This is a serious concern and reflects poorly on the establishment's cleanliness and food safety practices.
In terms of the food itself, opinions were divided. While one customer found the kobeda and nan to be nice but not exceptional, another protested that the kobeda was dry and the nan was hard. This suggests inconsistency in the quality of the food, which can be a turn-off for customers seeking a reliable dining experience. The mixed grill, however, received praise from one customer, describing it as fresh and delicious, although acknowledging that it was a bit pricey.
Many customers commended the affordability of Rusholme Chippy's offerings, noting that the portion sizes were generous for the price. However, one customer expressed disappointment with the high price of a double kobeda kebab, stating that it was pricy. This inconsistency in pricing may lead to confusion and dissatisfaction among customers.
In terms of location, parking was deemed problematic by multiple customers. They warned of a lack of parking space in the evenings, requiring a ten-minute walk from a side road. This inconvenience may deter potential customers, especially those who value convenience and accessibility.
In conclusion, Rusholme Chippy's strengths lie in its presentation of food, well-cooked meat, tasty chips, prompt service, and affordability. However, weaknesses are apparent in the quality of the sauces, uncomfortable seating area with drafts, potential hygiene issues leading to illness, inconsistency in food quality, and parking challenges. Despite positive reviews, the aforementioned weaknesses should be addressed to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.

Was recommended to try this legendary spot in Manchester, had the kobeda in nan, it was nice but nothing exceptional. The sauces I didn't like at all, chill sauce was like watered down tomatoe sauce.
Service was good and food arrived quick.
Delicious food - charcoaled edges on meat without losing its juices . It was displayed beautifully on bread which also had a delightful chargrilled taste. Chips with extra vinegar went down a treat. It really is no frills as advertised - no plastic either (unless you choose to use cutlery but no need) and a nice clean, spacious place.
Seating area was freezing. Lots of draught through the doors. Went with friends, 3 of us. We all got gastroenteritis (diarrhea).
Food wasn't worth the hype. Kobeda was dry. Nan was hard. Chips were great though freshly cut potatoes and fried. Never going again.
Can't fault it. Had the kobeda and chicken on naan with chips, it was all excellent. Been in Manchester a couple of months and eaten out a lot. This was in my top 5 meals I've had here so far! Not the fanciest obviously but really satisfying. Tasty meat, good naan, good chips, good price. Loved it, will be back!
The original Kobedah kebab shop in the curry mile. They have renovated and have plenty of seating - both inside and outside. Double Kobedah kevab at £13 is a bit pricy - however, taste was still same as before. The red and mint sauce give the jevab some additional kick.
Legendary kobeda kebabs, I always have to get one when in Manchester. The chips and pink chilli are also delicious. Good portion size and fair price for what you get. I forgot to take a picture of the food i was too excited to start eating.
Parking is non existant in the evening be prepared to park on a side road and walk at least 10 minutes.
Never been before and had no idea what to expect. Food portion was massive and the food tasted amazing.
Food was fresh and delicious, I had the mixed grill. A bit pricey but would still recommend.
