Quick Facts About Salts Cafe
Salts Cafe is a popular little cafe that has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one comment highlights that the staff at Salts Cafe are young, attentive, and polite. This is a positive attribute as it creates a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Additionally, the cafe is praised for its fresh and tasty food. The comment specifically mentions the toasties, which were freshly prepared and had yummy fillings. The presentation of the food is also noted as lovely. The cafe's ability to serve any item from the menu at any time of day is seen as a strength. This flexibility allows customers to order what they want, regardless of the time. Finally, the cafe is managed by Amie, who is commended for her hard work and ability to acknowledge regular customers, enhancing the overall experience.
However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed. One comment mentions that the most recent reviews of Salts Cafe were terrible. This implies that there may be consistency issues with the cafe's quality and service. Another critique is the limited menu, with one customer specifically hoping for a cooked breakfast. Expanding the menu options could attract a wider range of customers. There is also a mention of a long wait time for food. While the comment acknowledges the need for fresh food, it suggests that the wait could be improved to enhance customer satisfaction.
One customer expresses their displeasure with the cafe allowing dogs to run around without being on a lead. This can be off-putting for some customers and leads them to consider alternative cafes that prioritize the comfort of customers over the presence of dogs. The cafe's focus on providing a space for kids to play is seen as a strength. However, one comment suggests that the hot/cooked food is of poor quality and detracts from the overall experience. This is another aspect that the cafe should work on improving.
Despite these weaknesses, another comment highlights the great food and friendly staff at Salts Cafe. The decor is also praised as being nice and fun. However, there is a suggestion from another customer to update the furniture and lose the nets, as these elements can be off-putting to regular customers. Lastly, one customer notes the availability of toilets and an ice cream bar at the cafe, which can be seen as a strength for providing additional amenities to visitors.
In conclusion, Salts Cafe has several strengths, such as attentive staff, fresh and tasty food, and the ability to order from the menu at any time of day. However, there are weaknesses that need to be addressed, including consistency issues, a limited menu, long wait times, the presence of dogs without leads, and poor-quality hot/cooked food. Suggestions for improvement include expanding the menu, addressing wait times, implementing a rule for dogs to be on a lead, improving the quality of hot/cooked food, updating the furniture and decor, and prioritizing customer comfort. By addressing these weaknesses, Salts Cafe can enhance the overall customer experience and attract more regular customers.

Stopped today during half term! A very popular little cafe, extremely busy but staff, although young very attentive and polite. Ordered a couple of toasties these were freshly prepared and presentation was lovely they came with salad and tortilla chips all packed with yummy fillings topped off with a lovely latte and a good old cuppa for the hubby! Managed by Amie who was happy to see and acknowledge her regular customers whilst working so hard our visit was a fabulous experience. Keep doing what you are. Well done to you all.
Despite the most recent reviews being terrible, we visited today as it's such a good spot for kids to play. After they had exerted some energy we ventured inside the cafe, and despite a fairly small menu (we had been hoping for a cooked breakfast), it was great we could order any of the menu at any time of day, and found the food all really fresh and tasty. The coffee is decent as well, and the staff were friendly. There was a bit of a wait on the food but I don't think you can complain if you do want it fresh, and it was good it all came at once.
I like dogs. Don’t get me wrong. But way this otherwise nice cafe allows dog owners to let their dogs run around here is VERY off-putting. It’s not complicated - please have a rule that means that dogs stay on a lead. There are other cafes on the seafront at Seaford where the dogs are less important than the customers (& with lovely sea views) & that’s where you’ll find me from now on.
I think it's a great place for coffee and a cake whilst the kids play. The decor is also nice and fun.
Top tip for the owners - sort the hot/cooked food out, it's awful ???? !! You could have a real gem if you got this bit right
Awful service took nearly half an hour for a veggie sausage sandwich. The food was inedible. Should not allow dogs inside the barking was ear piercing and unpleasant. Until they sort themselves out I shall not go there.
Nice people here great food and has loos with and ice cream bar and some warm food
A simple little cafe on the sea front, ideal for coming with kids.
It's situated right in a play area making it great for kids and families to visit. There some indoor and outdoor seating too.
Very basic menu on offer, but good for a quick coffee stop more than anything.
Great little cafe, perfect spot for customers. There is one criticism, the furniture and decor does put me off using it more. Please lose the nets and update your furniture to make it more inviting to your regulars :) Seaford is a windy place and customers like to take shelter inside from the elements and eat a great ice cream
