Quick Facts About Frew's Fish & Chips

Frew's Fish & Chips has received a mix of positive and negative comments, which provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment.
Starting with the strengths, several comments mention the deliciousness of the gluten-free fish and chips. This indicates that Frew's Fish & Chips is able to cater to customers with dietary restrictions and still provide a tasty meal. In addition, the comment highlighting the staff's helpfulness and friendliness suggests that the customer service at Frew's is excellent. This is an important aspect of any food establishment as it can greatly enhance the overall dining experience. The positive mention of the hygiene levels being high is another strength of Frew's. Customers appreciate transparency and being able to see the cooking area can instill confidence in the cleanliness of the establishment.
Another significant strength is the consistency mentioned in one of the comments. The fact that the orders are always correct and sometimes even come with extra chips is a positive indication of Frew's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.
On the other hand, there are some weaknesses highlighted in the comments that need to be addressed by Frew's Fish & Chips. One of the main criticisms is the dryness and small size of the chicken goujons. This reflects a lack of attention to ensuring the quality and portion size of all menu items. Additionally, the complaint about the chips tasting like fish indicates a problem with cross-contamination. Customers expect their food to be cooked separately and not to take on the flavors of other dishes. This is a significant weakness that should be addressed by Frew's to prevent disappointing customers who have specific dietary requirements.
Furthermore, the negative comment about the burger order being incorrect and poorly made is a cause for concern. Frew's should ensure that their staff pays attention to customer orders and delivers dishes as expected. This incident highlights a weakness in their quality control and attention to detail.
Lastly, one comment mentions that Frew's is a little expensive. While occasional indulgence may be worth the higher price, Frew's should consider the pricing of their menu items to avoid deterring price-sensitive customers.
In conclusion, Frew's Fish & Chips has several strengths that include delicious gluten-free options, high hygiene levels, excellent customer service, and consistency in order accuracy. However, there are also weaknesses such as dry and small portions, cross-contamination of flavors, incorrect ordering of menu items, and potentially high prices. Frew's should address these weaknesses to maintain and improve their reputation in the food industry.

Brilliant, service was great, gluten free fish and chips were delicious, highly recommended ???? ????
I got a chicken goujons with chips and a gravey. They are very dry and small!! You can taste the fact the chips have been cooked in the same oil as the fish. Wouldn’t record unless you have nothing else to eat on planet earth!!!
Update. Changed to 1 stars from 5. Asked for a 7oz burger with everything. They said they didn't do 7oz but could give me 2 X 4oz in bap. Got home. My 10 year old granddaughter could have made a better burger. It was 2 burgers threw in between 2 baps with relish. No onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes.
An absolute disgrace
An excellent chippie, fish is cooked to perfection, served in a delicious batter, little sign of oil when you open the box so not greasy. Chips are very good also. The staff are very helpful and friendly and hygiene levels are high, as you can see, as the cooking area is visible to the public.
Excellent service. Very, very well run 'chippy'. Fish supper is delicious. Can takeouts get michelin stars?
Never had a problem with their food and they've always gotten the orders correct (along with a few extra chips hidden away ????). It's a little expensive but it's worth it every so often in my opinion
Great place, friendly staff, quick service, good food & they do gluten free.
I have recently been diagnosed coeliac and they cook a few gluten free options which is great. Always tasty
