Serenity Day Spa of Walla Walla has received a mix of positive and negative comments, which provide insight into the strengths and weaknesses of the place.
Strengths:
1. Excellent work and welcoming atmosphere: According to the first comment, the spa is known for its welcoming environment and the quality of work they provide, particularly in regards to nail services.
2. Princess-like pampering for children: Another comment highlights that the spa goes above and beyond to provide a pampering experience for children, making them feel like princesses.
3. Wide range of services: The mention of a large array of powder options, including glow in the dark, gel, and regular polish, indicates that the spa offers a diverse range of services to cater to different preferences.
Weaknesses:
1. Lack of transparency with prices: The second comment raises concerns about the clarity of pricing, mentioning confusion over the cost of a manicure. This lack of transparency may lead to customer dissatisfaction and potential misunderstandings.
2. Unpleasant atmosphere: The same commenter states that the spa was silent and lacking in conversation or music. This may create an uncomfortable atmosphere for some customers, as they expect a more relaxing and enjoyable experience.
3. Rude and unprofessional staff: Several comments mention negative experiences with a particular male nail technician, such as rudeness, changing prices, and a disgusting attitude. These instances of unprofessional behavior can significantly impact a customer's experience and perception of the spa.
4. Dirty tools and unclean environment: One comment explicitly states that the spa had a dirty atmosphere and unclean tools. This poses a potential health risk and undermines the credibility and reputation of the establishment.
5. Inconsistent service quality: The comment about an employee causing issues when the owners are not present suggests that there may be inconsistency in service quality, depending on who is working. This inconsistency can lead to a lack of trust and uncertainty for customers.
6. Bait and switch tactics and lack of expertise: A negative experience with a nail technician named Stephen is mentioned, where he falsely advertised prices, used improper materials, and had a lack of knowledge about proper techniques. Such practices can cause frustration and disappointment for customers and damage the spa's reputation.
7. Hostile and hard-to-understand staff: The final comment highlights the unprofessionalism of the staff, including hostility and difficulty in communicating effectively. This can create a negative and unwelcoming environment for customers.
In conclusion, while Serenity Day Spa of Walla Walla appears to have strengths such as excellent work, a welcoming atmosphere, and a wide range of services, it also faces weaknesses such as a lack of pricing transparency, unprofessional behavior from staff members, a dirty environment, inconsistency in service quality, and inadequate expertise in certain cases. Addressing these weaknesses will be crucial for the spa to improve its reputation, customer satisfaction, and overall success.

Very welcoming do excellent work. Love my nails!!
My daughter got a Mani and Pedi and they pampered her like a princess!! She loved it!! I will be going back and definitely recommend them to everyone!!
The gal was nice, the guy who was working on my friend’s nails kept rolling his eyes at her. Chargers her $60 for a manicure. They aren’t clear on their prices. Also it was so quiet, no conversation, no music, just silence and then talking to each other. We won’t be going back.
My nails were nice. But the nail tech I got was Extremely rude. It was a man with glasses. Disgusting attitude since I got there. Also kept changing the price.
If you don’t like your job don’t work there. Never going back
We just paid &120.00 for 3 pedigrees , that took about 20 minutes for the deluxe pedicure . Very unfriendly, unwelcoming staff . Dirty atmosphere with dirty tools . Don’t go here !
I am writing a 5 star review because I absolutely adore the owners and have been going here for years. That being said, an employee of there’s has given me issues on every occasion that the owners are not there. I went in when he was working alone after calling ahead and scheduling an appointment. He was rude and yelled at me that I should just wait for the owners to get back. The second time he was outside smoking and I had called ahead to be there soon. Because he was taking a smoke break he wouldn’t let me inside. He then proceeded to tell me that he won’t do my nails and is closing early because I was 5 minutes late. He is mean and abrupt.
Dip manicure today with Stephen was a horrible experience. Asked for price and he said $50. I found out this is a shop full of nail techs that rent a space. Stephen used bait and switch sales tactics. He didn't know how to work with dip powder and used gel at the end. The reason for dip powder is so you don't have to use UV lights to cure. He also said it would be $60. I told him he said $50 on the phone. There was another lady nail tech and she pulled out the price sheet and said it's extra to remove the dip. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!
Pedicures are wonderful. Great service. Large array of powder, including glow on the dark, gel and regular polish.
Wholly unprofessional and incompetent. Filthy shop. Hostile staff. Hard to understand how they stay in business.
