Beautiful location and very nice coffee and cake. Sad part is all the non-reusable cups which mean it feels like they don’t want you to stay long. If this did not have the view it would get 3 stars because there’s no need to use disposable cups and plates at all times. Server said it’s a ‘takeaway place’
We tried this place out today for a lunchtime snack and coffee. It looked like an ideal location to take in the views and have a bit of a break from walking round the harbour.
At the front there is so much information it is hard to decider with A boards and posters and blackboards everywhere.
There was a menu in the window which looked tempting so we went inside.
This was where it got complicated. There was a roped off in and out system which seemed to be stumping the people already inside. The next perplexing issue was trying to navigate what on earth was available. No sign of the menu but literally dozens of instructions, offers, notices and add ons that it was vertically impossible to pick anything to eat. Luckily there was a blackboard of drinks to make that bit easier. We decided upon a baguette and a crab sandwich which we had remembered from the menu in the window, unfortunately both out of stock so we ended up with a chicken sandwich and sausage roll. Both were nice but not amazing. Sadly the cafe was not making the most of the views with only one table in the corner looking at the harbour, the rest was obscured by yet more signs and room dividers.
A place that could be pretty special if it tried but sadly missing the mark.
Although not a huge choice, the pies were homemade and the one I had tasted delicious. However, when it came it wasn't heated through and when I took it back there wasn't any apology and I had to ask for them to heat it up, which should have been obvious. The 2 staff that were on seemed more preoccupied in their conversation than what was going on in the cafe, certainly no interaction. There were other items on the menu that had run out but again nothing was said until I tried to order one of the items. The one good thing though it was dog friendy and it served it's purpose.
It’s really awesome and quite place to spend some time with coffee.I feel good as well as their friendly behavior and presentation was very nice.
Quirky, like a sit in takeaway. Tea and coffee are lovely, we had sausage roll followed by cake. The Gloucester Old spot sausage rolls should win awards, all the cakes were homemade high quality and generous servings. Dog friendly too.
Had a stroll around Bosham village and along the waterfront. Ended up in this lovely little café, and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious pasties, (I had the cauliflower and potato, my two companions had the chicken with tarragon), followed by two excellent cake slices.
The prices were very reasonable, the staff efficient, and we will definitely go back.
Lovely cafe with views over the Chichester Harbour in Bosham. Great selection of Drinks, Sandwiches, Baguettes etc. The homemade sausage rolls are a particular favourite.
Very friendly staff and the best bacon roll I have ever had. The coffee was great too. Worth the trip alone.
