Quick Facts About City Shawarma

City Shawarma place seems to have a number of strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, many customers mention the friendliness of the staff. They appreciate the warm and inviting atmosphere created by the staff members, who even went the extra mile to offer a free bowl of soup to some customers. This suggests that the customer service is top-notch and that the staff truly care about making their customers feel welcomed and satisfied.
Another strength highlighted in the comments is the affordability of the food. Customers repeatedly mention the great prices and excellent value for money. Many mention specific deals or prices for different menu items, such as the £3 chicken shawarma wrap and the £2.99 chicken shawarma. The affordable prices make City Shawarma an attractive option for budget-conscious customers.
The taste of the food is consistently praised in the comments. Customers use words like "delicious" and "amazing" to describe the shawarma wraps and other menu items. The flavors are described as being on point and the chicken is often singled out for being particularly good.
Additionally, the quality of the food is mentioned numerous times. Customers appreciate that the food is always cooked fresh and that everything is homemade. The slow-cooked chickpea soup in particular is highlighted as being outstanding.
Some customers mention the filling nature of the food. The portions are described as being generous and customers mention feeling stuffed after their meals. This suggests that City Shawarma offers good portion sizes, ensuring that customers feel satisfied and full after their meal.
However, there are also a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One customer suggests that the restaurant needs to improve on making their own naan breads. This may indicate that the texture or taste of the naan breads currently offered is not up to par. Another customer suggests that the restaurant needs to improve on their sauces or provide more of them. This implies that the current selection or quantity of sauces may not be satisfactory for some customers.
One other weakness mentioned is the cleanliness of the windows, which are described as often being dirty. This could affect the overall impression customers have of the restaurant and may suggest that the cleanliness standards could be improved.
Overall, City Shawarma place seems to have many strengths, including friendly staff, great prices, delicious food, and generous portions. However, there are a few areas for improvement, such as the quality of the naan breads, the selection and quantity of sauces, and the cleanliness of the windows. With their enthusiastic and conscientious manner, it is expected that the restaurant will continue to improve and address these weaknesses over time.

Absolutely loved the place! My husband and I had the chicken shawarma wraps and ate in. The wrap was for £3 and really delicious and filling. I absolutely love the bread as well and can eat it on it is own. It was raining out and we sat in to eat the shawarma. The guy was so nice and he came and offered us a free soup to eat next to the wrap. Again very nice and was very homey. Can’t recommend high enough
Friendly staff, great prices, amazing food!
I ate in and was given a free bowl of soup.
I had a chicken shawarma - wonderful taste!
Got the half chicken. Flavour was on point, rice was cooked perfectly. Great value for money!
Delicious ???? the best Shawarma we have ever tasted!
The chicken was amazing.
Such a good price I will be going back very very soon.
Excellent value for money, but need to go back to making their own nan breads. Their half chicken deal is very well priced and tastes very good. They need better sauces and more of them on the dishes. Friendly staff and clean premises, though their windows are often dirty. Not been open long but I expect to see a steady improvement in everything they do, due to their enthusiastic and conscientious manner by all the staff.
The owner is lovely and the service is decent. Always busy due to the cheap prices of food. You can get a chicken shawarma for £2.99 and a lamb kofta for £3.50. Food is always cooked fresh and they provide loads of salad if requested.
Absolutely outstanding. I had the shawarma meal, beautiful meat with salad on a bed of warm rice. Served with a stunning fresh Naan. It was stunning and I was absolutely stuffed after. Highly recommend
My favourite place to eat in Cardiff!!! The chickpeas soup with lamb is out of this world and it costs only £2. Everything home made, slowly cooked to perfection and accompanied by freshly baked naan bread. Keep up the good job guys!
