We have a monthly board meeting and we decided to try smoke and grill for the first time. was not disappointed. by the end of the afternoon about 30 people had tasted the food and all loved it! You will see us as returning customers! Delivery was pleasant with a big smile! and the catering was spot on and at the time requested, Spot on and Thank you!

Where to start? Food arrived almost cold.. I ordered curried mutton and brown stew chicken…. There were 4 tiny chunks of chicken… yes 4.. and it was nothing but bone, you couldn’t even suck the meat off the bone as there was no meat on it, the tiny tub it came in had a few cubes of potato to fill it out.. the mutton was a little better but not by much. Portion sizes were like children’s portions although we ordered medium.. never again.. a medium dinner from island bay at the same cost easily gives enough for 2 dinners , don’t waste your time or money here… very disappointed and to be frank a little offended that this could be sent out thinking it’s ok..

First time going to smoke and grill with my friend as 'Taste of Home' was closed, the lady who served us was very nice had no problems the service it's self but as for the food...

I chose curry fish white rice and steam veg which was £4.50 on the menu but when we paid she asked for £5?

I got home to find a box full of rice a tiny piece of hake and chopped carrots and peas which I think is what they meant by 'steamed veg'.

It's a shame as the restaurant is a lovely little place with nice vibes, definitely need a new chef!

VERY disappointed with this place I went to today! After driving around STARVING I was looking forward to having yard food. The options for the fish menu were Hake, snapper, 'curry fish' or ackee and saltfish. I opted for the curry fish as it was unusual at a Caribbean restaurant and had plain rice and steamed veg.

The lady said there will be a short wait as it will be cooked from 'fresh' however once I got home and opened the box I couldn't believe how SMALL the piece of shrivelled up hake was. The amount of rice you get as a replacement for the lack of fish, you could feed a family of 4 with and ha the steamed veg never seen anything like it. It was just chopped up carrots and peas which were probably from a frozen bag from lidl or something. There was NO sauce on my meal, the food was plain and tasteless and it just felt like I was eating endless amounts of rice. I'm still hungry while I type this...

It is such a shame because the lady who served myself and my friend was really polite. The place looked very nice and I had good expectations and like to support other black businesses. My first and last time visiting smoke and grill. What a way to start 2020 aye!

Great food and great service! Such a lovely lady behind the counter that served me and made sure i had everything I needed. Toilets nice and clean, as was the dining area.. food was delicious, hats off to the chef(s) nice and hot and salad was fresh.. loved the chilled vibe as I ate my food.. all on all a pleasant visit.

On my visit I had snapper and hard food. Was very surprised (as i ate in), that my food came on a plate with cutlery. Food was nicely presented (and as they say you eat with your eyes). Sorry no pic food did look to good to stop and take a pic

Absolutely DISGUSTING, can’t cook, don't order!

Had peas soup from here last week, I got home and tried it, it was horrible! It wasn't even the correct colour, its was beige like dirty water. Was also frothy on top which usually means soup isn't fresh, and has been added to and reheated.

When Smoke & grill first opened a few years back, the food was sooooo good... but there has been so many management changes and chef changes since then that the food is now terrible and tasteless.

Go to Tasty Caribbean on bilston road instead, or anywhere else, but smoke and grill.

Great service. Food tasted very good, great variety of extras like plantain, sweet treats and drinks. Will definitely go again
