Quick Facts About Snellgrove's Restaurant

Snellgrove's Restaurant in historic downtown Plant City has received some positive comments from customers, highlighting its strengths. These strengths include its location, food quality, friendly service, reasonable prices, home cooking style, variety of side dish options, and overall value. However, there are also some weaknesses mentioned, such as high prices for certain items and average food quality.
One of Snellgrove's Restaurant's strengths is its location. Customers appreciate its beautiful, historic downtown Plant City setting, which adds to the overall dining experience. The atmosphere is described as great, with a small town vibe and a nice surrounding area. This unique location sets it apart from other restaurants in the area.
Another strength of Snellgrove's Restaurant is the quality of its food. Customers rave about the deliciousness of their meals, from sandwiches like the BLT Special and fries to the cakes, particularly the Coconut cake. Home-cooked style food is mentioned, with fresh and cooked-to-order dishes. The country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and string beans are specifically praised for their taste and freshness. The food is often described as good and satisfying.
The service at Snellgrove's Restaurant is also praised by customers. The staff is described as friendly, helpful, and attentive. They are ready and willing to assist customers with their needs and offer substitutions when possible. Affordability is also mentioned as a strength of Snellgrove's Restaurant. Customers appreciate the reasonable prices, as their tabs with drinks are often mentioned to be just over $20 or around $10 per person. This value for money is seen as a positive aspect, especially when considering the quality and taste of the food. The fact that it is a Mom and Pop style restaurant adds to the charm and affordability.
However, there are some weaknesses that have been mentioned in the comments. One weakness is the high prices for certain items. One customer specifically mentions that the menu, except for the kids' menu, is $10 and up, which they personally find to be too high. This can be seen as a downside, especially for those looking for more affordable options.
Another weakness mentioned is the average quality of the food. While customers generally find the food to be good and satisfying, one comment states that it is not great, but not horrible either. This implies that the food may not be exceptional or stand out in terms of taste or presentation. This could be seen as a potential area for improvement.
In conclusion, Snellgrove's Restaurant in downtown Plant City has several strengths, including its location, delicious food, friendly service, reasonable prices, home cooking style, variety of side dish options, and overall value. However, there are also weaknesses, such as high prices for certain items and average food quality. Beautiful, historic downtown Plant City location! Stopped in for a quick lunch with my Dad... We both ordered the BLT Special with Fries. Our sandwiches were perfect, and their Fries were sooo yummy too!! Home Cooking, absolutely. Very reasonably priced, as our tab with 2 drinks was just over $20. Will definitely be back!
Food is very good! Amber is awesome! Service is amazing and the cakes are to DIE for! Specially the Coconut cake!!! Omg! Yumsters! I will order a cake from there for every holiday! ❤️ I don’t have a pic of the coconut cake bc I got it to go!! But I love it!
Very nice diner in Plant City. Daily specials are served with two sides. Salad bar available. Breakfast available all day. Great atmosphere and friendly service
Snellgrove's is a Mom and Pop style restaurant that serves home style cooking at a reasonable cost. Food was served fresh and cooked to order. Staff is friendly and helpful and ready to assist customers as needed. They offer several side dish options and wait staff will substitute if available.
I was in Plant City recently to attend my brother's basketball tournament. We searched for a place close by to eat in between his games. I am very happy that we found Snellgrove's Restaurant! The food was really good and relatively inexpensive (around $10 per person). All the staff here were really laid back and friendly. It is a much different atmosphere than what I am used to living in and around Tampa. The area surrounding the restaurant was nice and truly had a small town vibe to it. We did have a bit of difficulty finding a parking spot, but one could say the same for the vast majority of restaurants and stores in Plant City's downtown area. The next time that a basketball tournament brings us to Plant City, I will already know exactly where to go for either breakfast or lunch!
Old time Diner. The people were nice, the food came out quick and was good. My wife and I both left stuffed. I had the Western omelet and my wife had the loaded double hash browns. Both were a good size and tasted excellent. The waitstaff was attentive. I will go back for sure.
I love Plant City, it’s my home. I’ve been to snellgroves many times and the food is always consistent, not great, but not horrible either. It’s pretty much what you would expect from a hometown diner. The biggest downside is price. I understand the cost of things are going up, however, $10.99 for a frozen hamburger patty and fries is too high. The entire menu with the exception of the kids is $10 and up. Since there are only three places to eat in town, I’m sure I’ll be back. I’ll make sure to have a little extra cash in the pocket.
Great little place in downtown Plant city. In terms of value it can’t be beat. I had the country fried steak with mash potatoes and string beans. Everything came out fresh and tasted good. The service was good and everyone was nice and respectful. Will definitely be coming back.
