Quick Facts About Stag Barber Shop

Stag Barber Shop has received overwhelmingly positive reviews and comments, highlighting a number of strengths and weaknesses. In this analysis, we will explore the strengths and weaknesses of Stag Barber Shop, taking into account the comments provided.
Strengths: 1. Experience and skill: Many customers praise the hairstylist's extensive experience, with over 20 years of cutting hair. Customers are particularly impressed with her ability to provide a fantastic haircut in under 20 minutes, showcasing her expertise and efficiency.
2. Excellent value: Numerous customers appreciate the affordable price of $20 for a haircut, especially considering the quality of the service. They highlight that the hairstylist does a better job than other places that charge double the amount. The reasonable price attracts customers who seek value for money.
3. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere: Several reviews mention the friendly and kind nature of the hairstylist and other staff members. Customers mention feeling comfortable in the barbershop and enjoy chatting with other friendly people. The welcoming atmosphere helps create a positive experience for customers.
4. Skill in traditional men's haircuts: Customers express their satisfaction with receiving traditional men's haircuts at Stag Barber Shop. They highlight that the staff excels in providing these types of haircuts, further emphasizing the skill and expertise of the hairstylist.
5. Customer recognition and personal connection: Various reviews mention that the staff at Stag Barber Shop takes the time to remember their customers. This personalized approach helps customers feel valued and creates a sense of loyalty, with customers stating that they will only go to this barbershop from now on.
Weaknesses: 1. Limited range of services: Some customers mention that the hairstylist does not offer head massages or other luxuries typically found in higher-priced salons. While this does not affect the quality of the haircut itself, it may be a downside for customers looking for a more pampering experience.
2. Miscommunication and misunderstanding: One customer shares a negative experience where the hairstylist did not understand their request to only trim the back of their hair while growing it out. This miscommunication led to the customer leaving the barbershop unsatisfied. This comment suggests that there might be a need for improved communication and understanding between the hairstylist and customers.
3. Waiting time: A few reviews mention that Stag Barber Shop can be crowded, resulting in waiting times. The popularity of the barbershop and the presence of regulars can lead to longer waiting periods, which might be a drawback for customers seeking a quick and efficient haircut.
4. Closure on Mondays: As mentioned in one of the comments, Stag Barber Shop is closed on Mondays. While this may not be a significant issue for most customers, it can be inconvenient for those who prefer to have their haircuts on Mondays or have limited availability on other days.
Despite these weaknesses, the overwhelmingly positive reviews and comments about Stag Barber Shop highlight its strengths, including the hairstylist's experience, affordable prices, friendly atmosphere, and skill in traditional men's haircuts. These strengths contribute to the barbershop's positive reputation and loyal customer base. The weaknesses mentioned can serve as areas for improvement to further enhance the customer experience at Stag Barber Shop.

This is the place I've been looking for. She has been cutting hair for over 20 years, does a great job, is very fast (less than 20 minutes), and she only charges $20!! I always give a good tip because she honestly does a better job than the places that charge $40. She doesn't do a head massage of those things, but there is no better value around. I'm so happy my friend recommended them.
The lady there is very nice and kind and she gave me one great hell of a haircut and you can’t beat the prices there at all!! Plus she does walk ins which is totally cool and I think she gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had in my life and I promise you that much!!! After that haircut I was sold on making her shop my first choice outta all of the other barber shops in Salt Lake City that I have tried……..so I highly recommend this barber shop and the Chinese lady who cut my hair and I believe that she is the owner too !!! She is amazing at cutting hair and I just enjoy going in there and chatting with other nice people who are waiting also…… So thank you for the best haircut I have ever had and I will definitely be back in 3-4 months!!!!! Sincerely, Alfie ????‍♂️????
It's hard to find a good barber at a decent price these days. My experience was most excellent. As a former Marine, I am very particular about my haircuts and rarely find any barbers who know that a high and tight isn't just shave the sides and put a cap on top. It's a nice fade and there are different lengths and styles. I explained with brevity what I wanted and she understood perfectly. We spoke a little and she said many Marines come into the shop. At the end of the cut she broke out the hot cream, straight razor and after shave. I joked about how I used to get a neck and shoulder massage in Okinawa too.
She humored me and gave me a 1.5 second tease. Lol. $15 and a deserved $5 tip. A bargain compared to these other new kids who don't even know what they're doing.
Excellent service!!!!!
The price is now $20, understandably. I still have yet to find a better barber. Not that I even need to look anymore.
Been going for years. Owner is the best. Highly recommend getting your haircut there.
I saw the 4.7 rating and thought, “Close, cheap, and that they did beard trims! I should try this place out.” I told the lady that, “I am growing out my hair and that I would like the back trimmed a little bit.” She said she could do that and the next thing I know is that 2 inches of hair from the side of my head are falling into my lap! I stopped her told her again that I was trying to grow my hair out. She said she didn’t understand what I meant. Are you kidding me?! Yeah, I walked out. I will never go back here again. Maybe she’s good if you want a short hair cut, but I will never find out. #worsthaircutever
Great friendly place. If you just want a good haircut from a experienced barber this is for you.
A hidden gem.
I felt comfortable the first time in there and was recognized the second time.
Only place I'll go from now on.
This is the place! The ladies that work here are the best at giving traditional men's haircuts. They are friendliest people ever and they remember their customers. I can't recommend this place enough. They really get to know you and remember you.
Go in expecting a traditional haircut and they will give it to you for a great price.
The current price for a haircut is $20.
This is my go to spot for a haircut. They close on Mondays, so keep that in mind. Be prepared to wait. This place has a ton of regulars.
It's an old school vibe and that's what I enjoy.
Great service and affordability.
