Quick Facts About St.Nicholas Café

St. Nicholas Café has several strengths based on the comments provided. One strength is its location. The café is situated in Scarborough and offers beautiful views of the beach, bay, and harbor. This scenic location adds to the charm and appeal of the café, making it a favorite spot for many customers.
Another strength of St. Nicholas Café is its friendly and helpful staff. Numerous comments mention the staff's friendliness and welcoming demeanor. This positive customer experience contributes to the overall positive atmosphere of the café and makes customers feel valued and appreciated.
The quality of the food and beverages at St. Nicholas Café is also praised in the comments. The Coronation Chicken sandwich, hotdogs, coffee, and cake are all specifically mentioned as being delicious. The generous portions and good quality of the food make dining at the café a satisfying experience for customers.
Reasonable pricing is another strength of St. Nicholas Café. Customers appreciate that the food and drinks are reasonably priced, making it a more affordable option compared to other cafes in the area. This affordability is seen as an attractive feature and contributes to the café's positive reputation.
The café is also described as a warm and cozy respite on cold days. The comments mention the café's effective heating system, which provides a comfortable environment for customers to relax and enjoy their meals. This feature adds to the overall comfort and appeal of the café, especially during colder months.
The tranquil ambiance of St. Nicholas Café is highlighted in one comment, particularly in the off-season months of January and February. The stunning views over the bay and harbor, coupled with the peaceful atmosphere, make the café a preferred destination for customers seeking a quiet and relaxing experience.
Despite these strengths, there is one notable weakness mentioned in the comments. One customer remarks on the obnoxious behavior of an older staff member, leading them to feel unwelcome and discouraged from returning to the café. This negative interaction reflects poorly on the overall customer service experience and could potentially drive customers away.
To address this weakness, it is suggested that the café management address the issue with the older staff member. Retiring the staff member or providing additional training on customer service and manners could help improve the overall experience for customers and prevent similar incidents in the future.
In conclusion, St. Nicholas Café has several strengths, including its beautiful location, friendly staff, delicious food and drinks, reasonable pricing, and comfortable atmosphere. These positive aspects contribute to the café's reputation and make it a favorite among customers. However, the presence of an obnoxious staff member is a notable weakness that should be addressed to ensure a consistently positive experience for all customers.

Best TL Reviews

One of my favourite cafes in Scarborough. Lovely location looking out to the beach. Really friendly staff and very helpful.
Coronation Chicken sandwich was amazing , washed down with a lovely mug of tea ???? ???? my grandson loves the hotdogs ????
Thank you
On a cold day this cafe was a warm respite, wonderfully heated, beautiful views, but more than that the human touch, staff are very friendly, there is a Jackdaw with an injured wing that has lived there since last June. The deluxe hot chocolate was a delight, sandwiches really good portions and delicious. Highly recommended.
Great service. The best coffee I've had in Scarborough. That nice I had another, Wife had huge peace of cake said it was amazing.
Simply nice , beautiful views, friendly staff and everything reasonably priced ???? thanks a lot ????
Emergency Coffee and Cake
Overcome by the need for coffee and cake, we spotted this place by chance.
Cake portions generous and very good, Parkin and Victoria Sponge.
Coffee excellent.
Staff friendly.
View stunning.
Everything to like here, thank you.
Tranquil place with stunning views over the bay and the harbour, best in off season January/February!
Wonderful welcome from friendly staff, great location, lovely food especially as we went in for a sandwich but was served great quality food of sandwich, salad & crisps. Would highly recommend.
I liked the idea of this place because of the fantastic view so gave it a chance a couple of times , food and drink in there is good so they really have the makings of a good business, sadly , a member of the staff in there was so obnoxious that I won’t go again, the younger guy could teach the older guy a thing or two on manors and I’m a local so not gone home somewhere else with an axe to grind, sad really as I think the place itself is amazing, if the older guy is still there and hasn’t retired then maybe it’s time to retire him off so you can have the amazing business you deserve, I haven’t been back as not made to feel welcome !!
