They found the food to be good overall, with the vegetarian menu standing out as exceptional. Despite this, they expressed interest in coming back to try the á la carte menu.
Another commenter described the food at Tapasya@Marina Place as exquisite and mentioned that the restaurant boasts of a Michelin 2020 rating. A nice restaurant which offers Indian cuisine foods. It’s located in a prime area near port of Hull with a good outdoor arrangement. The entrance of the place overwhelmed me as there was a idol of Indian God. About food, it’s really amazing. Both quality & quantity is pretty good.
Highly recommend if you are visiting Hull & want to taste Indian cuisine.
Pretty good! Our group had the tasting menu. We were accommodated well in the upstairs event room.
Overall the food was good: 4 courses of the vegetarian menu were exceptional, the rest were a bit average and we were served a block of paneer in 2 dishes, hence just missing out on 5 stars on this occasion.
Would definitely come back to try the á la carte menu though.
Exquisite food and vibrant atmosphere. The place boasts of Michelin 2020, and has a relatively small menu. It’s on the pricier side, but the quality of the food is good. I wanted to enjoy a seafood ???? main course as curry ???? but none of the seafood main-courses were curry. The laalmans was beautifully flavoured but the meat was dry and shredded. The Gilaafi kabab was brilliant though.
Excellent Indian cuisine elevated to fine dining standards! Simply the place to go to when you are at the Hull’s marina and want to enjoy an authentic Asian meal!
Fantastic food and excellent staff. Went for my Birthday dinner and first time ever I loved Indian food in a restaurant that tasted so authentic. The staff were all so lovely, and loved how spacious and well decorated the place was. Tapasya will certainly be our go-to-restaurant for every special occasion from now on !
The food is not actually Indian , it does look Indian but tastes nothing like it . Had order a lot of things and didn’t even eat it , you can look at the picture below . I was told by the man there I was not Indian enough to understand the taste and since I am from the south of India , I didn’t not know how north India food tastes I saw all of this good reviews and visited the place but believe me it’s bad , at least according to my taste .
I was told to eat from a local “ take away “ place since they felt my taste was more inclined to that . Anyway I am never going to the place again and will not ever recommend this place to anyone. They photo was take after I stopped eating because of how bad the food tasted and not before I started ????????????
We were joining a party of friends and colleagues for a retirement meal so didn’t even know where we were dining till last minute but we were blown away by the quality of food and service we received, being from Bradford we know what good curry tastes like and this was amongst the best we’ve ever had, admittedly not the cheapest but worth every penny!
Good service, professional waiters in matching attire. Great high ceiling venue with soft tone lighting (one bulb was flickering ????). Food was exceptional, flavourfull and balanced - had lamb shank (nalli ghost), spicy but meat was fall-off-bone tender and juicy.
