Quick Facts About The Art Picture House - JD Wetherspoon

The Art Picture House, a JD Wetherspoon place, has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided above. Let's start with the strengths.
One of the strengths mentioned is the fast and efficient service. Customers have reported that their food arrived quickly, within 10 minutes, and they were served by attentive and polite staff. This is a positive aspect as it enhances the overall dining experience.
The value for money is also highlighted as a strength. Many customers mentioned that the prices at The Art Picture House were reasonable and reflected the usual Wetherspoons' value. This is important as it can attract customers looking for affordable dining options.
The building itself is another strength. It is mentioned that the Wetherspoons is located in a converted cinema and retains some original features, giving it a unique and interesting atmosphere. The interior is described as "lovely" and "fascinating," which adds to the overall appeal of the place.
The atmosphere is also highly praised in the comments. Customers appreciate the ambiance of the old theater, mentioning that it feels like being in the old times. This positive atmosphere can contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for customers.
On the other hand, there are also some weaknesses mentioned by customers that need to be addressed.
The main weakness seems to be the limited seating capacity. As The Art Picture House is on a single level, there is less seating available compared to other Wetherspoons. This can be problematic, especially during busy times when customers may struggle to find a table. The limited seating can also affect the overall comfort of the customers.
The positioning of the coffee machines is another weakness mentioned. One comment states that the machines block the narrow ramp to the kitchen and some seating, as well as the disabled toilet. This is considered less than ideal and can cause inconvenience for both customers and staff. It may be worth repositioning the coffee machines to improve the flow of movement within the establishment.
Another weakness highlighted is the inconsistency of table service. While theoretically, customers can order at the table, some areas of the building seem to have difficulties implementing this service. This can lead to confusion and frustration among customers who expect consistent table service throughout the establishment.
There is also a negative comment regarding customer service by the individual in charge of the kitchen. The customer states that they received a small portion of gravy and when they asked for more, they were informed that they would have to pay extra. This suggests a lack of flexibility and a possible issue with customer service in the kitchen. It may be beneficial for the management to address this issue and provide training or guidance to improve customer service in all areas of the establishment.
In conclusion, The Art Picture House - JD Wetherspoon place has strengths such as fast and efficient service, reasonable prices, a unique building with preserved features, and a positive atmosphere. However, it also has weaknesses in terms of limited seating capacity, issues with the positioning of coffee machines, inconsistency in table service, and negative experiences with specific staff members. Addressing these weaknesses can help enhance the overall dining experience and satisfaction of customers at The Art Picture House.

Best TL Reviews

Like most Wetherspoons it can get very busy at certain times and this converted cinema is on a single level - though there is a raised area up a narrow ramp towards the kitchen area to the back of the building as you enter. As it's one level it does mean there is less seating available. This means that toilets are all on the ground floor though which I think many will appreciate.
Again, like other Wetherspoons you can theoretically order at the table however in practice I have found that this seems to fail in certain areas of the building.
There are 2 coffee machines (to the left as you enter) but these are a somewhat badly positioned as one tends to block the narrow ramp to the kitchen, some seating and also the disabled toilet which is obviously less than ideal.
The building itself retains some of the original features of it's heritage which gives it originality.
The Wetherspoons was packed on Bury market day. (A Wednesday.) Got the last spare table. Service was fast and efficient. Food came in10 minutes. Lovely pint of Moorhouses Straw Dog. Round was as cheap as chips. Great value as always. Lovely interior.
Nice servers, good was served pretty quickly, really tasty food. Almost didn't go because of a few bad reviews. Happy I did as this was the best food I've had the whole week of eating out as I'm here on holiday
Best looking spoons I have ever visited!! Only drank soft drinks and coffee as I was working around the area, probably a good thing as I reckon after a few beverages I would have liked to have found my way up onto the balcony for a proper look around this fascinating building. Food was standard spoons quality which is good for the price.
My Daughter and I ordered food here today, I ordered pudding chips peas and gravy, the gravy came in a very small gravy boat and covered 5 or 6 chips.
I asked a member of staff if i could get a bit more and she asked who ever was in charge in the kitchen and returned and informed me that they would have to charge me for an extra portion.
I think the food was great value for money and the waiting staff are attentive and polite although the person in charge who does not have to face the customer needs some
Lessons regarding customer service
Glorious old theatre with the balcony bodies intact and preserved. Good beers …. Excellent
Ab Fab ????
Great building, and usual great 'spoons value beers. My only gripe is that we ordered to share at our table the "managers special" of pigs-in-blankets... We got 7 very small pigs, and for £2.99. That does not appear to be in keeping with usual Wetherspoons value for money.... especially as a manager's special !!
We loved the atmosphere. You are just like in the old times. Besides, we had some steaks. Presentation and taste were great. Service time was short as well. We highly recommend this place to everyone.
