Such a great place. Had a massive lease of life since the new owners took over. Last owner was running into the ground with nothing going on. New owners have music, extended menu, more choice, just had a refurb and place is amazing. Friendly staff and team at the helm and a great community atmosphere back once again at The Oak
Went to opening night and was perfect, going back for Mother’s Day lunch too. Glad it’s back and it’s back with a bang, new faces now too where before folk didn’t want to go or stopped going.
We’ll done to the team up there who have changed this round so quick. See you all soon!
Had a beautiful meal here tonight, mixed grill was brilliant, Hunter chicken for the son in law, steak for the daughter and roast dinner for the wife. Everything was well cooked & plenty my of it, the highlight though is the staff they were all friendly, attentive and very pleasant. We will call again. Used to live in south Elmsal 35 years ago and there’s been different ones here but it definitely has to be the best it’s ever been. Well done guys. You well deserved the five stars, and the tip ????
Friendly local pub atmosphere. Food was really good actually, good portions and cooked well. Very reasonably priced also. Would definitely return
Great local pub and restaurant. We were visiting DIY kitchens nearby and stopped for lunch on the way. Very friendly staff took our order and the fish and chips was freshly battered and a very generous size. Lots of locals came in while we were there (on a Thursday lunchtime) and they were taking phone bookings for the evening. Fast service and a well decorated premises. Highly recommended.
Absolutely loved it, the atmosphere was great,the food was outstanding,the staff were impeccable, I'd definitely recommend. If you try the homemade pie though make sure you don't have a starter cos my god it's mahoosive!! Reward yourself with a pudding instead ????
Service needs to learn about the job and actual closing time and kitchen closing time, if they dont want to work till the time they advertise then is no point working in domain,( words of a chef disappointed of a possibility of becoming a regular local client).
