Quick Facts About The Brave Nelson Pub

The Brave Nelson Pub has several strengths that make it a popular destination for both locals and visitors. Firstly, many people appreciate the small but nice interior of the pub. While it may not be the largest space, the interior is still cozy and inviting, allowing for a comfortable atmosphere. Additionally, the pub has a beautiful garden/patio area that receives positive comments from customers. The garden is described as expansive and gorgeous, providing a pleasant outdoor space for patrons to enjoy their drinks.
Another strength of The Brave Nelson Pub is their excellent customer service. Customers have repeatedly praised the staff for their friendliness and accommodation. Whether it's serving drinks to a large group or going out of their way to ensure the comfort of families with children, the bar staff at The Brave Nelson Pub are highly regarded. This positive attitude towards customers helps create a welcoming and enjoyable environment.
Furthermore, The Brave Nelson Pub is commended for its efforts to entertain children. Families with kids appreciate the outside play area, where children can have fun while their parents relax and socialize. The addition of a bouncy castle is especially appreciated, as it provides an extra element of amusement for the kids. The management is also proactive in improving the pub's offerings for children, as mentioned by a customer who reported that a new children's play area was being installed. This commitment to making the pub family-friendly is a strength that sets it apart from other establishments.
Additionally, the pub receives praise for its drink selection. Customers mention a good choice of beers, ales, and spirits, indicating that there is something to suit everyone's taste. The variety of options ensures that customers can find a drink they enjoy, further contributing to their positive experience at the pub. The availability of bar stools is also noted as a nice change, suggesting that the pub pays attention to small details that enhance the comfort of their patrons.
The Brave Nelson Pub also benefits from additional amenities such as a TV and a pool table. These features offer entertainment options for those looking to unwind or have some friendly competition with friends. Moreover, the fact that the pub has ample parking is seen as a convenience by customers, making it easy for them to access the pub without any hassle.
However, there are a couple of weaknesses that should be addressed. One recurring comment is the lack of food service. Although the pub is praised for its drinks and atmosphere, the absence of food diminishes its appeal for some customers. Updating the website to reflect the current lack of food service could save potential customers from wasted trips, ensuring they have accurate information and expectations.
In conclusion, The Brave Nelson Pub has several strengths that make it an attractive venue for customers. The cozy interior, beautiful garden, excellent customer service, and family-friendly features like the play area and bouncy castle contribute to a positive experience. Moreover, the good drink selection, additional amenities like a TV and pool table, and ample parking further enhance the pub's appeal. While the lack of food service is noted as a weakness, it is an area that could potentially be improved in the future. Overall, The Brave Nelson Pub has created a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.

Best TL Reviews

Been here a couple of times before. The inside is quite small but nice. The garden / patio is really nice. Even liked the fact that the seats on benches fold in so even if it was previously raining, you get a dry seat outside
Held a christening party here and couldn't have been happier. The buffet food they laid on was great and very reasonable. Staff were so lovely and accommodating. And there is a great outside play area that kept the kids entertained the whole afternoon. Couldn't recommend more.
Really wasn’t sure about visiting The Brave Nelson with the wife & kids so asked a neighbour who recommended it.
So glad we went. Lovely little pub with an expansive gorgeous outdoor beer garden with benches and parasols. Great cider and the barmaid couldn’t have been friendlier.
Seeing my three kids, the barmaid (Katrina) served us all drinks then assured us she’d put up a bouncy castle in the garden for them.
Ten minutes later they were having so much fun bouncing around on it while me and my wife laughed in the sun drinking cider.
I even had a go on the bouncy castle myself and bounced straight out!
Cannot recommend enough!
Only criticism is the pub doesn’t serve food which would definitely give them a 5* review but maybe in time that’ll come.
Otherwise, couldn’t be more delighted with the afternoon we had there and will definitely be going back again and again.
Apparently, a new children’s play area is being installed soon so it can only get better. Can’t wait!
Lovely lunch in the garden. Friendly staff and friendly clientele! Steak strips were lovely and quick to be cooked. Also took dog and was very welcoming by staff and Visitors.
Nice little pub with tv, pool table and ample parking. Bar stools were a nice change to see too. Good choice of beers, ales and spirits - worth a visit if you fancy a quiet pint or two
It's a great place to hang out with friends and family. We also love their playground.
Went here for lunch on a Friday on our way to Hastings. Reviews and menu look good but when we got there we were told by a member of staff that they don't do food. Why can't you update your Webpage instead of wasting everybody's time. One star is to many.
Lovely little boozer and a great pool table too. Will definitely be popping my head in there often!
