Quick Facts About The Cactus Diner

The Cactus Diner has received a range of reviews, both positive and negative, highlighting various aspects of the establishment. In analyzing these comments, we can identify the strengths and weaknesses of the place.
Starting with the strengths, one reviewer mentioned that the staff at The Cactus Diner were lovely and accommodating, going out of their way to provide good service with a smile. Friendly and attentive staff are always a strength for any restaurant, as they create a pleasant dining experience for customers.
Another positive aspect of The Cactus Diner is the portion sizes for kids. One customer noted that the kids' portions were amazing, offering a large portion for a reasonable price. This is important for families looking for value for money and catering to children with big appetites.
Customers also commented positively on the taste and quality of the food. One reviewer described the food as "worthy of awards" and mentioned that even simple dishes like corn on the cob were exceptional at The Cactus Diner. The marinade on the chicken wings was praised as delicious, and there were options available for both vegans and vegetarians, indicating that the menu caters to diverse dietary preferences.
Additionally, the selection of food and drinks was praised by a customer who enjoyed the delicious pizza but planned to return to try the chicken and lamb kebabs. This indicates that The Cactus Diner offers a range of options to suit different tastes.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one common criticism was the quality of the burgers. One reviewer, who claimed to know a good burger when they see and taste one, found the burgers to be generic and similar to what takeaways use. This suggests that The Cactus Diner may not excel when it comes to its burger offerings.
Another weakness highlighted by a few customers was the long wait time for food. One review mentioned waiting 90 minutes for their meal, with other diners having a similar experience. While one reviewer mentioned being informed of short staffing as the reason for the delay, it was noted that the prioritize takeaway orders over dine-in customers. Waiting such a long time for food can be frustrating and may deter potential customers from visiting the establishment.
Furthermore, some customers expressed disappointment with the limited menu options. The reviewer stated that there were only choices of burgers, pizzas, or kebabs, suggesting a lack of variety in the offerings. While some customers may appreciate the simplicity of the menu, others may desire more diverse options or specials to choose from.
Lastly, one reviewer had an issue with the billing process, highlighting a lack of transparency regarding service charges. They felt that they were charged twice for service as they were given the option to leave a tip on the card machine, despite a service charge already being added to the bill. This lack of clarity in the billing process can lead to customer dissatisfaction and should be addressed by the establishment.
In conclusion, The Cactus Diner has various strengths, including friendly and accommodating staff, generous portion sizes for kids, and positive feedback on the taste and quality of the food. However, weaknesses such as generic burgers, long wait times for food, limited menu options, and issues with the billing process have been identified. These areas should be carefully considered and addressed by the restaurant to improve the overall dining experience and maintain customer satisfaction.

Best TL Reviews

Went here bases on reviews, i live in Leeds near a Countyside pub, so I know a fresh meat burger when see and taste one, unfortunately the burgers are just generic thin burgers takeaways use. Besides that the place is lovely and staff are lovely and the hot dog was nice and big with chips,. The kids portions was amazing, big portion for the price, that was spot on, Bad with the good, that's my review.
Well what can I say.. originally a takeaway that is offering the 'dine in' experience, and what an experience. It is small with just a few tables but so worth the effort. Very friendly and accommodating, they could not do enough for us and with a smile. Now on to the food... a takeaway this is not, the food is worthy of awards. I have eaten in alot of different places and The Cactus Diner is at the top with the best of them. They can make a simple corn on the cob be the best I have eaten. Lamb very tender and garlic mushrooms in a creamy sauce served with a toasted bread, we also had the classic dog served with fried onions and tomato sauce.
If you are a resident or just visiting this place is highly recommended ????
Found this place by chance because it was near where we were staying. The food, drinks and staff were absolutely fantastic! Next time we visit we will definitely be back!
We were really impressed with this eatery! All the food was cooked perfectly on the grill and there were some brilliant flavours. The marinade on the chicken wings was lush. They also do a couple of vegan and vegetarian options. Would Definitly go back.
Delicious food , friendly service, you wont regret choosing this place for dinner, great selection of pizza , burgers , kebabs and drinks to choose from , I chose to have the pizza which was delicious have to return for the chicken and lamb kebabs as the taster was so good definitely recommend
Great dinner at Cactus tonight. Wild Mushroom Pizza the best in England. Loved the food , the drinks and great staff. Shame we live in London.
The food was lovely however had to wait 90 minutes for it, other diners had the same experience. We were told they were short staffed however they appeared to prioritize take aways; we were offered a drink as compensation, only 1 between the 3 of us! When it came to paying I was given the option on the card machine to leave a tip which I explained that I couldn't justify because of the wait. However, stupidly I didn't check my bill and noted that a 10% service charge had already been applied, which meant if I had elected on payment to add to my bill I would have been charged twice for service; note to self, always check my bills before paying!!!!
Booked due to locality from accommodation and reviews.
Very friendly, tasty cocktails and good, but not amazing, food.
Be aware, it is a very small eating in experience, with a few tables at the back of a takeaway.
Choice on menu was limited - burger, pizza or kebab.
Pizzas may have been better option but we went for burger and chicken kebab...
Like I said, very friendly ????
