Quick Facts About The Coffee Press
The Coffee Press place has a number of strengths that can be identified from the comments provided. Firstly, the food is consistently praised as being lovely, excellent, and delicious. This indicates that the quality of the food is a notable strength of the establishment. Additionally, the cafe is described as having a great variety of options, with a nice setup and great value. This suggests that customers appreciate the range of choices and find the prices to be reasonable. The staff at The Coffee Press are also frequently mentioned as being friendly and welcoming, creating a positive atmosphere that encourages customers to return.
However, there are a number of weaknesses that can also be identified from the comments. One major issue that stands out is the long waiting times for food. One customer mentions waiting 45 minutes for two sandwiches, which is not ideal for those on a strict lunch break schedule. Furthermore, this customer notes that the staff member did not apologize for the wait. This lack of acknowledgment and apology for the inconvenience could be seen as a weakness in customer service.
Another weakness is the lack of visible prices for certain items on the menu, such as the cakes of the day and coffee. This can be frustrating for customers who like to know the prices before making a purchase. Additionally, one customer mentions that the flat white came in a juice glass without a handle, posing a risk of scalding oneself. This lack of practicality in serving utensils could also be seen as a weakness in the establishment.
Another weakness identified is the perceived overpricing of the food. One customer mentions that their order, consisting of two coffees, a scone, and a tray bake, cost nearly £13. This customer suggests that other places in town offer better value for money. This perception of overpricing could potentially drive customers away.
In terms of the food itself, there are some mixed reviews. While many customers praise the food, one customer mentions that the breakfast was dry and the sausage had a strange consistency. This suggests that there may be some inconsistencies in the quality of the food, which could be seen as a weakness.
In conclusion, The Coffee Press place has strengths in terms of the quality of the food, variety of options, and friendly staff. However, there are weaknesses in terms of long waiting times, lack of visible prices, perceived overpricing, and inconsistencies in the food. These weaknesses could potentially impact the overall customer experience and deter repeat visits. It is important for the establishment to address these weaknesses in order to improve the customer satisfaction and ensure the success of the business.

Food is lovely no doubt. Giving 2 stars as I have often pre order food for lunch which I have to wait for a very long time. Today the waiting time was 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Lady who served me did not apologize for the wait. Unfortunately wont be back as it is not fitting into the lunch break time.
We had soup and toastie and cullen skink and a pancake with fruits and bacon this morning. Everything was, as usual, excellent! As usual we can always point to something as best ever: today my wife rated cullen skink as best she has ever had!
First visit and sadly will be the last. There is no visible prices for the cakes of the day, the menu doesn't list coffee prices either. The flat white came in a juice glass which is not practical given there is no handle so the risk of scalding yourself is very high. The food, in my opinion is very overpriced. our order consisted of 2 cofees, a scone and a tray bake and was nearly £13. As we left i did see the takeaway menu for food was substantially lower so may worth taking out rather than sitting in. The girl who served us was polite enough but i do believe, for us, other places around the town are better value for money.
Currently doing takeaway brunch on Sunday. We had an Eggs benedict and a muffin. Delicious!
Love the food, loads of great options. The cafe has a really nice set up and service is great.
Excellent food !! Great value I had pancakes with biscotti and caramel they were amazing along with latte . Cakes are delicious. Definitely will be back
Visiting family in kmarnock and popped in for a coffee on a few occasions whilst passing through town. The staff are really welcoming and I enjoy the atmosphere, busy but still in a relaxed environment where I could enjoy a few chapters of my book with my coffee. Will return again for sure.
Nice wee place, liked the decor and staff very friendly and nice. We were in Sunday midday for the all day breakfast. Large cappuccino excellent, my wife and I both had the big breakfast. Breakfast not bad, bit dry but had we looked at the menu longer we maybe would have gone with the mega breakfast for the beans and haggis. Good quality produce, lovely eggs, bacon, black pudding. Would have been a five other than the dryness and a very disappointing sausage, not really very well cooked and a strange consistency... Rubbery. We will probably return
