Quick Facts About The Crown

The Crown Place, based on the comments provided, seems to have various strengths and weaknesses. On the positive side, it is worth noting that the pub has undergone positive changes, making it a place that the customers would want to visit regularly. Previously, it had a negative reputation, but the transformation has pleasantly surprised the visitors and left a good impression. It is now considered a preferred local establishment.
The pub's ambiance is also praised, with comments mentioning comfortable seating, nice background music, and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This suggests that the Crown Place provides a pleasant environment for customers to enjoy their drinks and socialize.
The presence of Zoe, the dog, adds a unique touch to the pub's dog-friendly policy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for pet owners. It is evident that the staff is well-liked and seen as welcoming and friendly, contributing to the overall positive experience at the pub. This is further reinforced by comments highlighting the gaffer's friendliness and helpfulness.
Another strength worth mentioning is the availability of games like card games and dominoes on the tables, reflecting the pub's small family pub concept. This adds to the cozy and intimate vibe that customers appreciate.
The comments also mention the reasonable pricing and good selection of drinks, which is always a positive aspect for any pub. The consistency in keeping the beverages well is another strength, as it is appreciated by customers who value a well-kept pint.
Furthermore, the pub's Covid-friendly measures are praised, indicating that they have implemented protocols to ensure the safety of their customers during the ongoing pandemic. This is crucial for attracting customers and maintaining a sense of reassurance.
In terms of weaknesses, one comment suggests that the outdoor area, specifically the beer garden, is not well-maintained and can be seen as a "dump." This can potentially deter customers who prefer to enjoy their drinks outside or have a more pleasant outdoor experience.
Additionally, one comment compares the pub to another establishment nearby, stating that it is "as bad as the cottage up the road." This suggests that there might be some competition or negative associations with other pubs in the area, which could impact the pub's reputation.
Despite the overall positive comments, there are no specific mentions about the food quality, except for one comment mentioning "amazing food" by a specific chef or food vendor. This lack of mention about the food could potentially be a weakness if the pub intends to attract customers looking for a good dining experience.
In summary, The Crown Place has undergone positive changes, impressing customers and transforming it into their preferred local pub. The pub's welcoming ambiance, comfortable seating, friendly service, dog-friendly policy, reasonable pricing, and well-kept drinks are its main strengths. However, the negative comments regarding the outdoor area, as well as the lack of specific mention about the food quality, can be considered weaknesses that the pub might want to address to improve the overall customer experience.

Best TL Reviews

We’ve been frequenting this pub on a regular basis since a chance visit with friends earlier in the year. It used to be a pub I would generally avoid due to its reputation and clientele. We were pleasantly surprised and very impressed with how much it had changed and on how well it was being run. It has now become our “local”. It’s nicely decorated with comfortable seating, nice background music, is dog friendly, having their very lovely own dog, Zoe, there to greet you and it is very reasonably priced with a good selection of drinks to be enjoyed in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
Great little pub, cosy, quiet and staff are so welcoming. It's very much a small family pub with an open fire, with card games dominoes available on the tables. There's no loud music or screens showing football. A lovely friendly pub.
Be careful you don’t sit on a needle in the “beer garden” (landfill) place is a dump very tacky up to my knees in nub ends, always had a bad reputation and the state it’s in now just makes it even worse….it’s places like this that really let burntwood down. It’s as bad as the cottage up the road.
Amazing food by Cy and street food marquee. Small place but we'll worth the visit. Waitress was very good too. Will be making another visit very soon
Great pub great landlord, beer kept well , lovely open fire and Zoe the dog is gorgeous
Great pub. Gaffer was friendly and helpful. Covid friendly well thought out. Open fire burning. Beer was excellent. Very comfortable place. Would have stayed for more but I was on a pub tour in the area. Well worth a visit. My visit was excellent.
