Quick Facts About The Daily Grind

The Daily Grind place has several strengths that are evident in the comments provided. Firstly, the lunch menu is praised for its excellent value for money and the quality of the food. Customers mention that the lunches they had were delicious and that the portion sizes were good. The menu appears to offer a variety of options, including smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and gammon ham panini with salad, and avocado smash. Additionally, the staff are commended for their friendliness and fantastic service. Customers mention that their meals were made better by the attentive and polite staff. The overall look of the cafe is also highlighted as being stylish and modern, creating a pleasant atmosphere for diners.
Another strength of The Daily Grind place is its fantastic coffee. Customers mention that the coffee is of high quality and enjoyable to drink. This is significant as good coffee can be a determining factor for many people when choosing a cafe to visit. Additionally, the food is consistently praised in the comments, with customers expressing their satisfaction after trying different items on the menu. The positive dining experiences mentioned in the comments can assure potential customers that they are likely to have a good meal at The Daily Grind place.
On the other hand, there are also some weaknesses mentioned in the comments that need to be examined. One weakness highlighted is the small portion size of the avocado smash. A customer mentions that they found the portion size to be extremely small, which may not be satisfying for some customers. Another weakness mentioned is the lack of grilling for the halloumi topping. A customer noticed that the halloumi was not grilled as stated in the menu, but rather added cold. This indicates a potential inconsistency in the preparation of the dishes.
Furthermore, there is a comment regarding a miscommunication about the price of a hot drink. The customer states that the menu states they could add a regular hot drink to their breakfast for £1, yet they were charged full price for theirs. This indicates a potential issue with the pricing and billing system at The Daily Grind place, which can be a source of frustration for customers.
The comment about the staff being annoyed when the customer tried to order breakfast at 11:50, when breakfast is only served until 12 noon, suggests that there might be a lack of flexibility or understanding from the staff. This can create a negative impression and potentially discourage customers from returning.
Additionally, there is a negative comment from a customer who had a poor experience with the service. They mention that the older man who took their order had no customer service skills, while the younger man and girl who waited on them were lovely. This inconsistency in the quality of service can impact the overall dining experience for customers.
Regarding negative comments about the taste and quality of the food, one customer mentions that the guacamole served with their nachos was tasteless and resembled mush. Another customer complains about not receiving the specific oat milk latte they ordered, suggesting a potential lack of attention to detail or understanding of customer preferences.
In conclusion, The Daily Grind place has several strengths that include excellent value for money, fantastic coffee, great service from friendly staff, and a stylish and modern atmosphere. However, there are some weaknesses mentioned in the comments, such as small portion sizes, inconsistencies in grilling and pricing, potential inflexibility regarding breakfast orders, and dissatisfaction with the taste and quality of certain food items. These weaknesses need to be addressed in order for The Daily Grind place to provide a consistently positive dining experience for all customers.

We are moving to Lichfield soon so popped up for an afternoon. We had a lovely lunch here, which was excellent value for money and service was fantastic. Staff were really friendly and the overall look of the cafe is stylish and modern. Will definitely be coming back when we have moved house!
Fantastic coffee and the food is great as well. Well worth a visit when in Lichfield. Visited again and had some amazing food. The staff are fantastic and make lunch/breakfast so much better.
Thoroughly recommend.
We stopped off gir a bite to eat at the Daily Grind. My husband had Smoked Sslmon & Scrambled egg this was absolutely delicious. I has cheddar cheese & Gammon Ham Panni with Salad and crips. Which again was delicious. Good portions and nice place to eat very good prices too
I had the avocado smash and the portion size was extremely small. I opted for the "grilled" halloumi topping but am pretty sure it never saw the grill and was just added cold - see photo!
The menu also states that you can add a regular hot drink to your breakfast for £1 but we were charged full price for ours, so check your bill!
I also felt like the staff were a little annoyed that we were ordering breakfast at 11:50 as it is only served until 12noon?
Bored older man took our order, no customer service skills in evidence.
Lovely younger man and girl waited on.
My granddaughters enjoyed their chicken burgers and chips.
My nachos with salsa and guacamole...the picture speaks for itself. Couldn't eat the tasteless mush passed off as guacamole.
Asked for oat milk latte, exta hot and wet...maybe they don't know what that means ...I'm more inclined to think the bored man taking our order couldn't be bothered to make sure I got what I ordered.
Definitely won't be spending any more of my hard earned cash there.
Visited here for the first time with my friends 12 year old twins. Lichfield was very busy but we were accommodated quickly on a table albeit for 2 which we were fine with but then luckily able to move when other guests left. Ordered 2 x scampi and chips and 1cod and chips with cold drinks. Food was served lovely and hot and decent sized portions. The boys cleared their plates and declared they’d definitely eat here again. Likewise so would I. Lovely and clean, nice decor and some great music. Staff polite and friendly
Nice surroundings and decor. Find a seat and order at the counter. We only ever have breakfast here but it's licensed too for the evening. Quick friendly service with well prepared food. The coffee is good too, in my opinion. Would recommend
Popular cafe, lovely decor very busy but clean and welcoming. Unfortunately I was too early to try the lunchtime menu so had a bacon and sausage sandwich instead of pulled pork Panini I had envisaged, hence 4*. Staff are efficient and polite will definitely revisit.
