Quick Facts About The Druid Inn
Overall, the comments about The Druid Inn are overwhelmingly positive, highlighting several strengths of the establishment. One recurring theme is the friendliness and welcoming nature of the staff. Multiple reviewers mention that they were greeted with smiles and that the staff made them feel at home. This is a significant strength of The Druid Inn, as good customer service can greatly enhance the overall experience.
Another strength of The Druid Inn is its dog-friendly policy. One couple specifically mentioned that they were looking for a place to bring their dog and were pleased to find that The Druid Inn welcomed their furry friend. This is a unique selling point that sets The Druid Inn apart from other establishments in the area, catering to pet owners who are looking for a place where they can enjoy a meal with their four-legged companions.
The quality of the food is also mentioned several times in the comments. Reviewers express enjoyment of a variety of dishes, including roast lamb, scampi, sandwiches, and Sunday lunches. One reviewer even praised the menu for its vegetarian options and desserts. The positive comments about the food indicate that The Druid Inn takes pride in offering delicious meals to its customers, and this is an evident strength of the establishment.
In addition to the food, the ambiance and decor of The Druid Inn are frequently praised. Reviewers describe the interior as inviting, with beautiful and quirky furniture and a relaxing atmosphere. The mention of a log burning stove adds to the cozy ambiance that people appreciate. This indicates that The Druid Inn has put effort into creating a welcoming and visually appealing space for its customers to enjoy.
Some reviewers mention that The Druid Inn can be busy or fully booked, which suggests that it is a popular destination. While this may be seen as a strength in terms of popularity and demand, it can also be a weakness for those who prefer a quieter dining experience. However, the fact that the restaurant finds space for all customers, even when fully booked, demonstrates their commitment to accommodating as many people as possible.
While the majority of comments are positive, one negative review highlights some weaknesses of The Druid Inn. The slow service and lack of attention from the staff are significant issues raised by this reviewer. The fact that they were not offered another drink and had to seek out the waitress for one, as well as their food taking a long time to arrive and not receiving the requested BBQ sauce, indicate a lapse in service quality. Additionally, the lack of attention from the staff at the end of the meal, as well as a lack of concern for any issues raised, is another weakness. This negative review suggests that The Druid Inn may have occasional lapses in service quality and attentiveness.
In conclusion, The Druid Inn has several strengths, including friendly and welcoming staff, dog-friendly policies, delicious food, a visually appealing ambiance, and an ability to accommodate a busy clientele. However, weaknesses are also apparent, particularly in terms of occasional slow service and lack of attentiveness from the staff. While the majority of customers seem to have positive experiences, these weaknesses should be taken into consideration and addressed to ensure consistent customer satisfaction.

Lovely evening spent here. My partner and I were looking for somewhere close to our holiday cottage to have an evening meal where we could also take our dog. We were not disappointed by The Druid Inn. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and our dog was warmly welcomed too. The place was clean and we didn't have to wait too long for our food , the staff were really nice and we left with a smile on our faces. Would recommend.
The first time to visit this traditional pub only live 10 minutes away. But will definitely be back. All staff very friendly and helpful. We both enjoyed our food very much. Mine roast lamb my husband scampi, the best he had ever had he said. It was very busy so that says it all. Well done The Druid.
Although the restaurant was fully booked space was found for us which we appreciated very much. We had a lovely family meal. Fabulous food and excellent service. Good vegetarian choice. Best puddings. Looking forward to visiting again.
We stopped for a sandwich outside, lovely sandwiches. Quality was good and well presented. Thought it was expensive for what we got. The selection of meals on the menu looked good. The staff where really friendly. So I suppose with the expense that would make it a place for special occasions rather than a regular place to frequent. Will probably call again for a special occasion.
Stopped by for an impromptu meal on the way home from Wales this afternoon. We loved the name and it had such an inviting vibe surrounding it. Inside was just as inviting with its beautiful and quirky furniture, log burning stove and absolutely amazing staff. The food took a little while longer than expected but was well worth the wait. All fresh and home cooked and piping hot. Lauren, Trev and the chef are an absolute credit to this little gem. Highly recommend The Druid Inn to anyone.
HIDDEN GEM. After days of contemplating on where to go for date night, my partner found this little beauty. Where do i begin, the setting was perfect. Lovely decor and such a relaxing atmosphere. We were greeted straight away by smiling faces and shown to our table. Each and every staff member was professional and friendly which made our experience so enjoyable. The food was incredible, we ended up having three courses each because we couldn't say no to the appetising menu. You certainly get more than what you pay for. We can't recommend this place enough, we are 100% returning and have already decided to go here for our anniversary. Thanks for such a lovely evening!
What a disappointment. Terribly slow service. I was only asked once at the beginning if I needed a drink and we were there for over an hour so I had to try get waitress attention and request another one. Considering the restaurant was nearly empty, our food took nearly an hour to come out. Steak my husband ordered as medium came out rare, but we were so hungry he just ate it. He asked for a BBQ sauce and they said they would get it but it never arrived. We were waiting after eating and eating and no one came over so we had to go the bar to pay. Weren't asked how our meal was as I would like to have mentioned our issues but they didn't seem to care
Went for a late Sunday lunch, environment was clean and well presented, staff were friendly and welcoming.
I had the Hake and my wife had the Beef dinner - we couldn't fault the food or the service.
We will return on one of their Steak evenings to give that a try - the 16oz Rump will be my choice.
