Quick Facts About The Hayloft closed

The Hayloft has several strengths that make it a popular and enjoyable place to visit. Firstly, the food receives consistently positive reviews. Customers mention that the all-day breakfast, farmer's breakfast, and sandwiches are tasty and well-prepared. The homemade cakes and scones are also highly recommended, with one customer noting that the homemade scone was "as big as your head" and delicious with loads of jam and cream. The menu and specials board offer enough choices to suit different tastes and preferences, and there is even a children's menu available. The fact that all the food is prepared freshly is appreciated by customers.
Another strength of The Hayloft is its pleasant environment. Customers mention that the venue is charming and has a countryside farmhouse feel to it. The old Hayloft building creates a unique and rustic atmosphere. Many customers enjoy sitting outside where there is a sitting area and a duck pond with ducks and peacocks. The presence of wildlife adds to the appeal of the place and creates a memorable and enjoyable experience, especially for children. The peacocks wandering around the venue are mentioned several times by customers and add to the charm of the place.
The staff at The Hayloft also receive positive comments for being pleasant, helpful, friendly, and providing service with a smile. Customers appreciate the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff, and their assistance and attentiveness contribute to a positive overall experience. The friendliness of the staff helps to create a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.
In terms of value for money, The Hayloft is considered to be good. Several customers mention that the prices are very reasonable, and they feel that they are getting good value for the quality of food and experience provided. This makes The Hayloft an attractive option for those looking for a reasonably priced meal in a pleasant environment.
However, there are also a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments about The Hayloft. The fact that payment is accepted only in cash is mentioned as a downside. This limitation may inconvenience some customers who prefer to pay with cards or do not always carry cash. The preference for cash-only payment restricts payment options and may result in some customers having to find alternative methods of payment.
Another weakness mentioned is the size of the coffee cups. One customer notes that the coffee is served in a very small teacup, which may not be sufficient for those who prefer larger servings. This may be a drawback for customers who enjoy drinking coffee and feel that the serving size is inadequate.
Overall, The Hayloft appears to have more strengths than weaknesses. The excellent food, pleasant environment, friendly staff, and good value for money make it a popular choice for breakfast or lunch. The presence of wildlife, such as ducks and peacocks, adds to the charm and uniqueness of the place. However, the cash-only payment method and small coffee cup sizes may be areas for improvement to enhance the overall customer experience.

We went for lunch and ended up having and all day breakfast! Excellent food and a pleasant environment. Good value for money
Pleasant helpful and friendly staff.
NOTE: Payment by cash only and, if you're driving, take care as there are lots of ducks, peacocks and peahens around the pond, on the drive and in the car park.
Great place for a breakfast or lunch. Staff are friendly and helpful. Its on a farm and has a duck pond and peacocks children can go to the farm shop and buy bird food to feed them.
Pleasant experience. My friend and I sat outside for brunch and a tea and coffee.
Peacocks and hens came over to watch us dine!
I would have given 5 stars but the coffee is served in a very small teacup.
Lovely venue with peacocks wandering around. Had a big farmers breakfast which was very tasty. Freindly staff with a good choice on the menu.
Been here quite a few times. Just had a lovely lunch there. A good selection on menu and a good choice of lovely home made cakes. There is a farm shop where you can buy fresh fruit and veg etc. Lots of peacocks ducks guinea fowl and chickens running around or swimming in large pond. A lovely place to visit.
You can expect lovely food, service with a smile and a chilled atmosphere at the Hayloft, there is a lovely dick pond outside so bring some bread.
Country style farmhouse cafe with some wildlife to boot. Love my city x
Lovely charming surrounding in an old Hayloft as the name suggests. The sandwiches we had were prepared as requested. The menu and the specials board had enough choice to find something good to eat, with the addition of a children's menu. My friend had a homemade scone which was as big as your head with loads of jam and cream. Tea and coffee spot on. No issues at all. Looking around at other diners and the food looked delicious. Prices were very good. All the food was prepared freshly. I will definately call in again.
Out side there is a sitting area a duck pond ,with ducks and lots of peacocks, I'm sure children would like this.
