Quick Facts About The Eden Bar

The comments provided paint a mixed picture of The Eden Bar, with both positive and negative aspects mentioned. To provide a comprehensive analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the place, let's examine each aspect in detail.
One of the strengths highlighted by multiple comments is the pricing of the drinks. It is mentioned that the prices are exceptionally reasonable, which can be seen as a positive aspect for patrons who are looking for affordable options. This is particularly appealing to those who prefer to pay a fair price rather than an inflated one. Additionally, it is noted that the drinks are cheap, which can attract customers who are looking for good value for their money.
The atmosphere is also mentioned as a strength in some comments. One customer describes it as a fun place with a great atmosphere. It is implied that the atmosphere is enjoyable and welcoming, which can enhance the overall experience for patrons. The fact that the establishment is not dripping with luxury is considered a compliment, suggesting that it maintains a down-to-earth and unpretentious ambiance.
The quick and efficient service is also highlighted as a positive aspect. Staff members are commended for their ability to serve customers in the right order and promptly. This can contribute to a positive overall experience, as customers appreciate timely service and prompt attention to their needs.
However, the cleanliness of The Eden Bar is an area of weakness. Multiple comments mention the cleanliness issues, such as sticky flooring, dirty tables, and a generally dirty atmosphere. This can be off-putting for some customers who prioritize cleanliness and hygiene. The comment about it being the dirtiest pub someone has ever been in could discourage potential customers from visiting.
Parking is mentioned as another weakness. It is noted that parking is very limited, which can be inconvenient for customers who rely on accessible parking options. Limited parking spaces may deter some customers who prefer convenient parking facilities.
The entertainment aspect of The Eden Bar is a mixed bag. On one hand, it is mentioned that the music played caters to the taste of the older crowd, with versatile tunes such as "Cotton Eye Joe" and "Flip and Fill". This can be a positive aspect for patrons who enjoy this type of music. On the other hand, one comment mentions that the DJ plays cheese pop classics, which may not be appealing to everyone. Additionally, it is not specified whether there are live music performances or any other form of entertainment available at the bar.
The comments also touch upon the friendliness of the staff and the crowd. It is mentioned that the staff appears to enjoy their work and are friendly towards customers. The crowd is described as a mix of older and younger individuals, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, one comment mentions rude staff, which could detract from the overall positive atmosphere being built.
Lastly, the food aspect of The Eden Bar is mentioned in only one comment, and the feedback is not overwhelmingly positive. It is stated that the food is okay, but with no further details provided. This lack of emphasis on the food suggests that it might not be a key strength of the establishment.
In conclusion, The Eden Bar has several strengths, including affordable drink prices, a fun atmosphere, and quick service. However, it also has weaknesses, such as cleanliness issues, limited parking, and mixed reviews on the entertainment and food aspects. Overall, it is essential for potential visitors to consider their own preferences and priorities when deciding whether The Eden Bar is the right fit for them.

Best TL Reviews

Wouldn't have given the one star if able.
Probably the dirtiest pub I've ever been in.
Even the infamous Royal Arms in same town was never that bad.
If you want to have a dance after a night in a local working man's club, this is the place to be. Particularly if you enjoy music such as - cotton eye Joe, flip and fill.. Its a versatile bunch of tunes to suit most over 50's.
The owners are keen to keep you in as long as possible and seem to have applied extra stick to their already sticky flooring.
Good price for drinks though.
To be fair I was on a bar crawl with workmates on 'Mad Friday' so the review is probably not of a normal Friday.
Inside carpet was sticky yeurccch! Outside decking was lethally slippery.
However staff were quick to get folk served in the right order, prices were exceptionally reasonable and there was no trouble despite it being just before Christmas and everyone full of festive spirit, beer and wine!!
It's clearly an honest place - Id rather pay a fair price like they charge here than an inflated price where they've got to recoup their costs on a new carpet!!!
It's a fun place, great atmosphere but its not dripping with luxury - and this IS a compliment!
Gone down hill more than usual. Underage drinkers on the weekend. Rude staff. Dirty tables.. No sure if the alcohol sold is as labelled on the bottles.
No food when I was in. I love down market places. Usually good music, good craic, great people.
This aint it.
The Eden bar.
I found the Eden about 2 years ago and return whenever I return to Peterlee as it is across from the Bus station. What I found was a mix of very friendly people combined with a staff that enjoy where they are what they do. The crowd is a good mix between the older and a younger all appear to be welcome. I encourage all when traveling through stop at the Eden Bar and enjoy conversation with the good people of Peterlee. And the drinks are cheap.
The local dive and only entered by people wanting to get heavily drunk on cheap nasty drinks. No one has a care about spilling their drink on you, however everyone is very friendly and apologetic. All this can create a brilliant atmosphere when cheese pop classics are played by the 'dj' and belted out by the collection of drunken revelers dancing on the sticky floor.
Friendly staff good service and nice beer yes is a bit tired and needs a refit but a good welcoming bar I like it due to prices and quality of drink and the welcome u get
Good for a game of pool and a pint. Food is ok. Parking is very limited. Atmosphere is ok. I would go back for a few drinks but not for food.
