Quick Facts About The Endeavour Licensed Restaurant and Coffee Shop (est. 2005)
The Endeavour Licensed Restaurant and Coffee Shop, established in 2005, has garnered a lot of positive feedback from customers. They excel in several aspects, such as their home-cooked food, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. However, there are also a few areas where they could improve. Let's analyze the strengths and weaknesses of The Endeavour Licensed Restaurant and Coffee Shop based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one recurring theme in the comments is the quality of the food. Customers describe it as "real home cooking" and "top quality." The fact that the food is presented superbly adds to the overall positive impression. Alongside the food, the staff are praised for being friendly and welcoming. This contributes to the great atmosphere and creates an enjoyable dining experience. The cafe's location in the heart of Newbiggin is another strength, as it attracts a lot of customers and suggests that they are doing something right.
Another strength mentioned by customers is the cafe's pet-friendly policy. This is a distinctive feature that sets them apart from other establishments and allows dog owners to enjoy their time at the cafe. It shows that the cafe is accommodating to a variety of customers and demonstrates their commitment to creating a welcoming environment.
The Endeavour is also applauded for its customer service. Positive comments mention the great service, warm feeling upon arrival, and helpful staff. The fact that the staff go above and beyond to provide a good experience is essential for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Additionally, The Endeavour offers good value for money. The portion sizes are described as generous, and the prices are reasonable. This makes dining at the cafe more affordable and appealing to customers.
Now let's turn our attention to the weaknesses. One negative experience mentioned in a comment is an incident where the owner shouted at customers in front of everyone. This kind of behavior is considered rude and disrespectful. It's important for businesses to address customer concerns or issues politely and professionally. Publicly humiliating customers, as described in the comment, can leave a lasting negative impression and discourage future visits.
Another area where The Endeavour could improve is in its seating arrangements. A comment states that when customers tried to put two tables together, the owner reacted negatively and shouted at them. While it is the establishment's choice whether or not to allow this, addressing the situation politely rather than through shouting would have been a more appropriate response. Clear communication and customer understanding are crucial to ensuring a positive experience.
In conclusion, The Endeavour Licensed Restaurant and Coffee Shop has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation, such as its delicious home-cooked food, friendly staff, great atmosphere, and pet-friendly policy. However, there are areas for improvement, including addressing customer concerns professionally and avoiding disrespectful behavior. By building on their strengths and addressing these weaknesses, The Endeavour can ensure a consistent and positive dining experience for their customers.

Great cafe in the heart of Newbiggin. The coffee is pretty good and they serve nice food. One thing I notice is that the Endeavour is always packed! Which tells me they're doing something right. Strongly recommend giving them a shot, specially for their scones :)

Popped into the endeavour for a warm drink to take out when i was walking my dog. Received great customer service. Great warm feeling upon arrival and the hot chocolate was tasty - was offered marshmallows and cream which was a bonus!! Great service from Michelle and the team, will defo be back to try the food!
Have visited here many times and have had a good experience. Today, as usual me, my husband and two friends popped in for lunch. Sat down at two tables for two, thought it would be ok to put thetwo tables together meaning no harm which were a few inches apart. The owner came out from the kitchen and shouted at us across the cafe in front of everyone not to do that and how expensive the tables are. I have never been spoken to in this way at any establishment, horribly rude. We did not mean to cause offense. There was no need to shout at us, she could have told us politely. We immediately left. We will never return here again, disgraceful behaviour.
Amazing place to visit. 3rd time here and everyime has been a great experience! Tenative staff, amazing food and good portions for a brilliant price. ???? ????
Would like to thank Michelle for all her help while I was on a day out in Newbiggin with a young disabled girl I look after. Emily uses a power wheelchair and needed somewhere to go and have her lunch. Emily also needed to have assistance to eat. Michelle kindly heated Emily’s dinner ( at our own risk ) and allowed us in the restaurant with no fuss at all and wheelchair access. I enjoyed my lunch of homemade quiche, salad and chips with a lovely cup of coffee. Very polite staff and excellent service. Would highly recommend. Keep up the good work x
