Quick Facts About The Glanglasfor Pub

The Glanglasfor Pub, based on the comments provided, has several strengths that make it an attractive and welcoming establishment. Firstly, it is described as a "great little hidden pub," indicating that it has a charming and unique atmosphere that customers appreciate. The pub is also praised for being extremely friendly and welcoming, making it a comfortable place for both regulars and visitors. This is particularly important for customers who may experience anxiety in new places, as it provides a sense of reassurance and ease.
Additionally, the pub is viewed favorably due to its dog-friendly policy, which was confirmed by Google. This is a strong selling point for dog owners who are looking for a place where they can enjoy a drink or meal without having to leave their furry companions at home. Furthermore, the pub is described as having a "visiting your local" atmosphere, which suggests a sense of familiarity and community that appeals to customers seeking a cozy and relaxed environment.
The pricing at The Glanglasfor Pub is another strength that is highlighted in the comments. One customer mentions that three meals, including drinks, only amounted to £14.80, which is considered very reasonable. Affordable prices can attract customers who are looking for good value for their money and may lead to increased patronage.
The staff at The Glanglasfor Pub are commended for their friendliness and genuine customer service. Comments refer to the "nice friendly staff" and the "very welcoming and friendly lad behind the bar." This positive interaction between staff and customers contributes to the welcoming atmosphere of the pub, making customers feel comfortable and appreciated.
The speed of service is also mentioned as a positive aspect of the pub. Customers describe it as "fairly quick" and note that it is what they would expect from fresh food. Efficient service is important to customers as it allows them to enjoy their meals and drinks without unnecessary delays.
Despite these strengths, there are some weaknesses associated with The Glanglasfor Pub based on the comments provided. One customer expresses concern about the behavior of other patrons at the pub. They mention incidents involving smoking, the smell of weed, and glass smashing, which created an unpleasant and potentially dangerous environment. While this may be an isolated incident, it is still a concern that could impact the overall experience for customers.
Another mentioned weakness is the lack of table service. One comment states that other establishments are offering table service to follow COVID-19 restrictions, but this pub does not. This may inconvenience some customers who prefer to stay seated and have their drinks and food brought to them, especially during a time when minimizing contact with bar areas is recommended.
Lastly, it is mentioned that the pub's location in the town center can make it busy at times. While this may not necessarily be a negative for everyone, it could be a disadvantage for customers who prefer a quieter and more relaxed environment.
In conclusion, The Glanglasfor Pub is generally praised for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, reasonable prices, good service, and dog-friendly policy. However, there are concerns about the behavior of some patrons and the lack of table service. These strengths and weaknesses should be taken into consideration when evaluating the overall appeal of The Glanglasfor Pub.

Great little hidden pub very friendly and welcoming
We went as we was visiting the area and Google said it was a dog friendly establishment. In fact it was a extremely friendly pub full stop.
My partner suffers bouts of anxiety in new places and even she was comfortable. If you like the visiting your local atmosphere, you will like here.
At this very moment I’m sat outside this backstreet pub on my hols, found it totally by chance and so glad I did. Very welcoming and friendly lad behind the bar, and the locals are bang on friendly too. Made me and my family feel at home. Music is spot on ( 90s Brit pop and indie) and the drinks very cheap. Keep up the good work , I will definitely be back for a drink next time I’m in Rhyl ???????? Last of a dying breed this type of boozer????????
In two minds of how to rate this little back street pub. Has outside seating and pub inside is okay. Nice friendly staff. However, there is no table service that other establishments are offering, to keep punters away from the bar to follow covid restructions. Got our drinks and went to sit outside. This is where the downfall is... the punters! Within 10 minutes someone had sparked up a massive stogie, the smell of weed was almost intoxicating, even outside! Then someone else smashed a glass against a wall in rage. The shards of glass flew everywhere, cutting one guys back that was standing nearby. There were kids there that could've been hurt. Of course then the abuse started. Just thankfully it didn't turn into a street brawl. I may just go back though... a great afternoons entertainment!
Decent little pub, great staff, nice pint, good laugh. Table service is bang on. It's a pub you need to try more than once. Sometimes quiet but due to its location in the town center anybody can stop in for a drink so It can get busy sometimes too... Even my van tries to sit down on the outside benches sometimes for a pint... Slowly turning to my new favourite local. 2 bad points, it's next door to work so I cant pull sickies and go for a pint.... Plus If one day you see a big dented white van coming towards you jump out the way fast as he is a terrible driver and you may lose a few toes.
The prices in the Glan are really reasonable. 3 meals including drinks came to just £14.80. Can't argue with that
I've never had a problem with the food here and the portions are a good size. I particularly like the chips, which is odd because I normally don't
The service is fairly quick and about what you'd expect from fresh food. It's a nice quiet place that never gets too busy
Been going to this pub for 40 years or more
Not changed drastically over the years
Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,
My Wife Ashley and myself bought the Glanglasfor at auction. We have kept the bar open, and the cafe has had a refurbishment. which will re-open Saturday 8th June 2019.
We hope all the seasonal visitors, and regulars will return to enjoy great home cooked food at the reasonable prices you have all commented on.
we look forward to seeing you all.
Many thanks,
Ashley and Karl
