Quick Facts About The Mango Tree
The Mango Tree restaurant has a number of strengths that make it an appealing dining option. One comment mentions the great selection of unusual dishes on the special menu. This indicates that the restaurant offers a diverse range of options that are not commonly found in other Indian restaurants. This can be a strength as it sets the Mango Tree apart from its competitors and gives customers a unique dining experience.
Another comment praises the excellent service, describing it as fast and accurate. This demonstrates that the staff at the Mango Tree are attentive and efficient, ensuring that customers receive their meals quickly and accurately. Good service is always a strength for a restaurant as it enhances the overall dining experience and leaves customers feeling satisfied.
Additionally, the comment mentions that the quality of the meals was great. This suggests that the Mango Tree places a focus on using high-quality ingredients and preparing dishes with skill and expertise. Consistently delivering delicious and well-prepared meals is a strength for any restaurant, as it creates a positive reputation and encourages repeat business.
Another positive aspect highlighted in the comments is the accommodating nature of the restaurant when it comes to dietary preferences. One comment mentions that vegan cuisine is catered for without any problems. This shows that the Mango Tree is conscious of different dietary needs and is able to provide options for customers with specific requirements. Being able to accommodate different dietary preferences is a strength for a restaurant as it allows them to attract a wider range of customers.
Furthermore, the comment about the cost being around £25-30 per person indicates that the Mango Tree provides good value for money. This suggests that the portion sizes are generous and the overall dining experience is worth the price paid. Offering good value for money is always a strength for a restaurant as it encourages customers to return and recommend the establishment to others.
While there are several strengths mentioned in the comments, there are also some weaknesses that should be addressed. One comment describes a negative experience with a waiter who had a bizarre attitude. This indicates that there may be issues with the staff's professionalism and customer service. Having staff members with a negative attitude can lead to a poor dining experience and discourage customers from returning.
Another comment mentions a disruptive group of customers who were not properly addressed by the restaurant's management. This suggests that the restaurant may not have effective strategies in place for handling disruptive or inappropriate behavior from customers. Allowing disruptive behavior to persist can create an uncomfortable and tense atmosphere for other diners, ultimately leading to a loss in customers.
In conclusion, The Mango Tree has several strengths that make it an appealing dining option, such as a great selection of unusual dishes, excellent service, high-quality food, accommodation for dietary preferences, and good value for money. However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed, such as issues with staff attitude and management's response to disruptive customers. By addressing these weaknesses, the Mango Tree can further enhance its strengths and create a more enjoyable dining experience for all customers.

Came here for Saturday evening meal. Lucky to get a table as it was pretty full at 7.30pm. Great selection of quite unusually dishes to choose from their special menu, so we selected some poppadoms and a main course each plus a beer.
The service was excellent - fast and accurate, so received our meals quickly and the quality was also great.
They did not do ice cream as a dessert, so you need to go elsewhere if you want this. Overall cost was around £25-30 per person, so quite good value.
Booked a table for 9pm on a Friday night. There were ourselves and a few other tables in. We were waited on by a short bearded guy who asked if we were ready to order 3 mins after sitting down. We explained not yet but offered to order our poppadoms and starters, which he rejected and said he would take the entire order in one go - odd but fair enough. When he eventually came back to take the order he stated the kitchen was closing soon so we needed to hurry up, in which case why take the reservation? He took our order with a scowl and gave us a number of dodgy looks as he left the table. The food was good and arrived quickly so would have given more stars except for the bizarre attitude of this little man.
We have dined on Indian food all over the world. Unexpectedly, this one of the greatest I have ever had.
Good service and an unbelievably wonderful taste.
Vegan cuisine catered for no problems
Thankyou ☺️
Very nice food, excellent staff and service.
Had a very nice meal. A dish I have not tasted before. The same with my husband.
It's my official retirement day today. So very special.
Would not hesitate to go back again.
Have been eating at the Mango Tree for some years and also enjoyed many takeaways. The food is always very good. This evening we booked a table at 6.30pm for my husband's birthday. There was a large table of men dining in the restaurant. They were extremely drunk and very loud. They were impacting on the enjoyment of other diners which included women and children. It was impossible to hold a conversation across our table. A lady at a neighbouring table tried to get them to calm down and we also spoke to the waiter about the disturbance but nothing happened. The men then began making inappropriate comments about women. This made the atmosphere tense so we paid the bill and left. We spoke to the waiter about the group but his response was 'they are local'. Well we are local and quite frankly that is no excuse for grossly inappropriate behaviour. I am sure the group spend a large amount of cash in the restaurant on drink but the Mango Tree are in danger of losing all their remaining 'local' customers unless they step in and deal with inappropriate customers. It is not the responsibility of other diners to try and deal with them but the responsibility of the restaurant management. Sadly these locals will not be returning.
An extensive menu meant it was hard to choose but the knowledgeable waiter gave excellent advice. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful and the restaurant was cosy and spotlessly clean. The cost was a reasonable £30 each including wine. I would not hesitate to recommend.
