Quick Facts About The New River Village

The New River Village place has received generally positive reviews, with customers praising the quality of the food and the friendly staff. However, there are some weaknesses that have been mentioned, including long delivery times, inconsistent quality, and rude customer service.
One of the strengths of The New River Village is the quality of the food. Customers have consistently praised the taste and freshness of the dishes, with one customer stating that it is better than any other Chinese takeaway in Glasgow. The chefs are complimented for their skills and ability to create delicious meals. Another strength is the variety of options available, providing customers with plenty of choices to satisfy their cravings. The portion sizes are also mentioned as being generous, offering good value for money.
The friendly and helpful staff are another strength of The New River Village place. Customers appreciate the warm and welcoming service they receive, with staff members being willing to assist and accommodate their needs. This positive interaction contributes to a pleasant dining experience.
However, there are some weaknesses that have been raised by customers. One recurring issue is the long delivery times. While it is acknowledged that the restaurant is busy and this is to be expected, it can still be frustrating for customers who are hungry and waiting for their food to arrive. Another weakness mentioned is the inconsistency in quality. Some customers have had great experiences with delicious and fresh food, while others have received cold or subpar dishes. This inconsistency can lead to disappointment and frustration for customers, especially if they have had previous positive experiences.
Customer service is also mentioned as a weakness in some cases. There are instances where customers have had negative interactions with the staff, with one customer describing the woman on the phone as rude. This type of behavior can leave a lasting negative impression and deter customers from returning in the future.
Another weakness mentioned is the higher prices compared to other options in the area. Some customers feel that the food does not justify the increased cost and have chosen to seek out alternative Chinese takeaways in nearby locations.
Overall, The New River Village place has several strengths, including delicious food, friendly staff, and a variety of options. However, it has some weaknesses, such as long delivery times, inconsistency in food quality, and occasional poor customer service. These weaknesses should be addressed in order to improve the overall dining experience and maintain a loyal customer base.

This is the first time I've had a takeaway from The New River Village and I enjoyed every bit of it and also my husband and son enjoyed it to so we'll be back again soon ???? ????
Never had a bad meal out of new river village. Delivery times can be a bit long, but that is to be expected as it is busy as soon as as it opens.
Value for money and good food with plenty of options. Warm and friendly staff who are willing to help.
Amazing! Best chow mein and Chinese dishes!
This place is fantastic! Seriously better than any Chinese takeaway in Glasgow. We've ordered different meals on three separate occasions and the food is consistenly amazing! The ingredients always seem quite fresh the chefs really know what they're doing. 5 stars only because 6 isn't an option.
We have used rhe River village for years. Been hit and miss. Have had beautiful Chicken and mushroom lately. But tonight we ordered lemon chicken. It arrived STONE cold with dried up bits with the batter hanging off it!! Shocking. I rang to complain and to say it was being returned. The woman was quite rude o rhe phone saying it couldn't be cold as jist boxed and out!! She would refund. Never again. !!happened too often
Placed order and food arrived in around 40 mins, however we could have mind we could have walked there in.10. Food was cold...had to microwaves all the food to get it hot. I only used this restaurant as the Pearl River was constantly engaged. Worst decision ever. £18.65 for cold food. Sadly the chicken in my curry was all breast which was very bland. Will not order from here ever.
Distinctly Average.
Eaten here a couple of times since the dreaded Covid arrived, and yes large portions but not the best in the area, the best of two in Erskine.
Prices have also risen.
Will be heading to Bishopton for my next Chinese takeaway.
