Quick Facts About The Red Lion
The Red Lion place receives mixed reviews from customers, with some praising its atmosphere and entertainment, while others criticize high prices and lack of character in the pub. In order to provide a thorough analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of The Red Lion place, it is necessary to delve deeper into the comments.
Starting with the strengths, one customer mentions the nice atmosphere and presence of music. This suggests that the pub provides a lively and enjoyable environment for customers. Additionally, the mention of a meat raffle implies that The Red Lion place organizes events and activities to engage its patrons. This is a positive aspect as it shows that the pub is not solely focused on serving drinks but also puts effort into providing entertainment.
Another customer appreciates the friendly and welcoming staff, stating that they always feel welcome when visiting with their partner. This indicates that The Red Lion place values customer service and strives to create a hospitable environment for its guests. Furthermore, the mention of regular live bands and singers suggests that the pub offers a varied and enjoyable entertainment lineup. This strengthens the pub's appeal to the community and potentially draws in a diverse range of customers.
In terms of weaknesses, a major point of contention is the overcharging for soft drinks. One customer mentions being charged £5 for a pint of coke, which they consider to be a rip-off. They argue that the cost of the drink is significantly less than what they were charged and compare it to the prices at a different pub for reference. This highlights a lack of fairness in pricing and may contribute to a negative perception of The Red Lion place.
Another criticism relates to the pub's physical appearance. One customer states that the pub lacks character and is in need of refurbishment. They specifically mention the uncomfortable seating, which they found difficult to sit on due to a bad back. This implies that the pub's furniture and decor may be outdated or uncomfortable, potentially detracting from the overall experience for some customers.
Lastly, one customer describes The Red Lion as a pleasant local pub with mostly older customers during lunchtime. While this may not necessarily be a weakness, it suggests a specific target demographic for the pub. This could limit its appeal to a younger or more diverse audience, depending on the preferences of potential customers.
In summary, The Red Lion place has several strengths, including a nice atmosphere, live entertainment, and friendly staff. These aspects contribute to a welcoming environment for customers and potentially foster a sense of community. However, there are weaknesses to consider, such as overcharging for soft drinks and the need for refurbishment and more comfortable seating. These criticisms may impact the overall perception of the pub and potential customer satisfaction.
Best TL Reviews
The pub has a very nice atmosphere and had music on and a meat raffle.
However I was driving that day and being responsible I chose to have a soft drink only to be charged £5 for a pint of coke!
I do not appreciate being ripped off and this spoiled it for us.
After working in a pub for years I know that coke costs the pub very little <10p per pint and this is un-neccesary. Should be £2.50 tops. My local, a shepheard neame pub, is £1.99 for comparison.
This is the reason for the poor review. We left right after shall not be coming back again and reccomend others do not either.
Lovely friendly atmosphere on Sunday watching a great singer (red) meat raffle too , definitely worth a visit ????
Friendly staff very welcoming and a nice quite pub . I dint visit often but when me and my partner do we are always made feel welcome. . They have love bands/singers regularly and by not living far away they appear to have good entertainment for the community.
A very welcoming, friendly old style pub
Nice pub, staff very nice good music
Nice little local pub good range of beers
With respect, couldn't sit down on their chesterfield seatee.or vintage high back two seater.tryed but found my self sinking to far down,as l haue a bad back, would haue been difficult to get up .staff very friendly, enough.but the look of pub.is lacking character, and needs a refurbishment, keeping to a old vintage Victorian warm welcoming look.
Visited lunchtime. Pleasant local with mostly older customers at this time. God pint of St Austell Tribute
