Lovely little tearoom with a quite extensive menu of goods on offer. Also has a great selection of loose leaf teas to choose from, and you can also purchase tea to take home. Prices are very reasonable. Nice staff. Definitely a great place to visit. Can make reservations too, which may be worth it of you're wanting something like an afternoon tea, as it's got quite a steady footfall.
Lovely staff - nothing was too much. Explained all the different types of tea and what each one contained, even recommended a few flavours. The cake was delicious and well baked and flavoured! Hot chocolate is to die for.
Had Afternoon tea for two with my partner. Absolutely wonderful service, brilliant food and super cosy decor. It definitely gives off the typical English vibe and I would recommend anybody here who is looking for a quality vintage experience, or even just a decent lunch with a friend for a good catch up.
Had one of the best afternoon teas ever. Great service, very friendly staff. The quality of the sandwich was so nice, the date and walnut scone was to die for and the cakes WOW.... Best place to have a bite to eat in central Boro. Definitely would visit again. Both my Fiancee and I agreed it was far better the Wynyard Hall's afternoon tea.
Delicious sandwiches, amazing scones, and the cakes... Wait, I didn't even get to talk about their huge selection of teas, and the personal attention they give you in choosing your favourite! An amazing high tea will fill you up for the day and set you back only 12 quid. I shall be back!
Best cafe in boro town centre! Really nice vintage quirky decor. The desserts/cakes taste lovely and they are also part of the help out to eat out scheme which helped a lot and was a massive bonus!
I had a salmon and cream cheese bagel and normally with bagels they are cold and chewy/glutinous but this bagel was toasted and tasted amazing!
Peppermint tea comes in a large tea pot which 3 or even 4 people can drink from. Amazing!
Value for money and worth every penny.
Will definitely eat here again... Can't believe I never visited this place.
Really friendly staff and atmosphere. The cakes here are fantastic, have been here a few times to grab a slice to take out on my lunch! Afternoon tea is good too, there's a nice selection of sandwiches and a huge range of tea to try. Great value for money too, definitely recommend, especially if you have a sweet tooth
I love the tea house! Such a cute little place, their scones are amazing! Only complaint is a pot of tea for 2 feels like it's more of a pot of tea for 20 but who can really complain about too much tea?!
