Quick Facts About The Tearoom of Damhouse

The Tearoom at Damhouse Place seems to have several strengths based on the comments provided. One notable strength is its beautiful historical house setting. This unique and picturesque location creates a pleasant and charming atmosphere for visitors. The Tearoom's proximity to a small housing estate and woodland further enhances its ambiance and offers an opportunity for a pleasant stroll.
Another strength highlighted in the comments is the quality and taste of the food. Visitors have mentioned delicious home-baked scones, tasty toasties, and generous portions of poached salmon. The Tearoom also offers a variety of choices, including salads, sandwiches, desserts, and a wide selection of teas and coffees. The food is well-presented, and the staff is praised for their friendly and welcoming service.
The Tearoom of Damhouse Place also seems to be popular among customers, as mentioned by multiple commenters. It is a busy place, especially on Sundays, with many tables reserved for different time slots. This popularity can be seen as a positive sign, suggesting that the Tearoom has a strong reputation and a loyal customer base.
The Tearoom's opening hours from 9 to 5 can be considered a strength for those looking for a brunch or lunch spot. This range of hours allows for flexibility and accommodates different schedules. Additionally, the Tearoom offers a quiet and cozy ambiance, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Another notable strength is the Tearoom's location, specifically its accessibility for cyclists and parents with prams. The presence of a back garden where bicycles can be parked is convenient for cyclists, while the availability of space for prams makes it more family-friendly.
Despite its strengths, there are also a few potential weaknesses that can be identified from the comments. One weakness is the price of the food, which has been mentioned as quite expensive. This might be a deterrent for some potential customers, especially considering the availability of other dining options in the area.
Additionally, the popularity of the Tearoom can be seen as both a strength and a weakness. While it indicates that the Tearoom is well-regarded and sought-after, it can also result in a busy and crowded environment. This might make it difficult for walk-in customers to find seating without a reservation.
In conclusion, the Tearoom at Damhouse Place has several strengths that make it an attractive dining option. Its picturesque historical house setting, delicious food offerings, friendly service, and accommodating features such as the back garden for cyclists and availability for prams contribute to its appeal. However, the potential weaknesses include the relatively high prices and the busy nature of the Tearoom, which can be challenging for walk-in customers. Nonetheless, with its positive attributes, the Tearoom of Damhouse Place is still worth considering for a visit.

Lots of choices on offer and lovely desserts and a choice of teas and coffees.
Lovely little pond to walk around.
I have been here before, but it was the first time I had brought my friend who liked it very much. The meal was lovely, and the service was great.
Interesting tea house, old fashioned close by. The coffee was great and the panini sandwich with fries very delicious. Place very busy , we went there on a Sunday, most tables were reserved for different time slots.
Situated in a beautiful woodland setting with a small housing estate arround the edge, a lovely place to wander and take photos enjoying the birds and ducks. The food is very well presented and apportioned, seating is cosy and pricing is moderate. Drink selection can vary throughout the seasons and there are a choice of classic cakes for desert. Service was speedy and very friendly. Definitely worth a visit, take a short detour and eat here instead of Bents if you're planning to go to the garden centre.
Lovely place for a stroll round the pond and a lovely cuppa and cake to follow. Excellent value for money and lovely warm, welcoming staff.
Friendly, relaxed, old-fashioned style café. I had poached salmon salad and the portion of salmon was very generous. I shall be returning and won't hesitate to recommend the place to anyone. It is very popular and you need to book.
Nice place to sit and eat, food isn't bad but quite expensive.
