Me and my partner came here on Friday afternoon to give a try and have a brunch. We heard only good things about this place so we decided to go with it. I ordered a Baked eggs with chorizo and flat bread. To drink i just had a glass of orange juice. My partner had a passion fruit lemonade and Eggs Montreal. We ordered a Mediterranean Plate to share as well(which actually never arrived) . Later on when we asked where’s the sharing plate they just told us that something happened with the ticket machine in the kitchen so we asked them nicely to don’t make it(they took it off from the bill!). Overall the food was nothing special, the portions were quite small compared to their prices and last but not least the costumer service wasn’t the most welcoming i ever had . It was good to try this place once and learned our lessons to don’t come back again.
In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the « new ». The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. This morning I experienced something new : an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist « can »come from « anywhere ». I will be returning to “The Tin Shed” soon, hungry for more.
Cute little cafe serving breakfast basics with good coffee. The space is cosy, staff are friendly and accommodating
This place is so charming, one of the most delicious brunches that I’ve ever had. They’re always so kind and the place is so beautiful. One of my favourite spots in Notting Hill without any doubt!
Quite enjoy the setting and ambience however food is a bit meh which I think is arguably fair for the price(?)
