Quick Facts About Blue Circle Fish Bar
Blue Circle Fish Bar has garnered a mix of positive and negative comments, which provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the place. While some customers rave about the food quality, friendly staff, and overall deliciousness, others express disappointment in the decline in quality, poor customer service, and questionable food choices.
First and foremost, one of the standout strengths of Blue Circle Fish Bar is the quality of their food. Multiple comments praise the deliciousness of the fish and chips, kebabs, and saveloys. Customers describe the portion of chips as one of the best they've ever eaten, highlighting the attention to detail and care put into cooking. Additionally, the fresh fish is mentioned as being beautiful and a reason to keep coming back. This shows that the establishment has a strong knack for producing tasty food that leaves a lasting impression on customers.
Apart from the food, the staff at Blue Circle Fish Bar also receive positive feedback. Many comments mention the friendliness and appreciation of the staff, especially when praised for their food. This indicates a positive customer service experience and a pleasant atmosphere within the establishment. The fact that staff are polite and smiling, as well as great to talk to, contributes to a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
Another strength worth mentioning is the availability of seating. While it is noted that the space may be limited, the fact that customers can sit in and eat their food is a plus. This allows for a more relaxed dining experience, which can be appealing to those who prefer to eat in rather than take away.
In terms of weaknesses, one recurring complaint is the decline in food quality over time. Multiple comments mention how the fish used to be good in the past but has since gone downhill. This suggests that there may have been a change in the sourcing or preparation of the fish, resulting in a disappointing experience for some customers. Additionally, it is mentioned that the owners now batch fry the fish, which goes against the traditional belief that fish should be eaten immediately after frying. This could be seen as a compromise on freshness and quality.
Another weakness highlighted is the poor customer service and lack of professionalism exhibited by the owners or staff. One comment mentions how they were spoken to rudely, with the owners needing to learn about manners and not using a polite tone with customers. This negative interaction can impact the overall experience and leave a bitter taste in the mouths of customers, potentially deterring them from returning.
Lastly, one comment from a long-time customer mentions that they only drop in occasionally now and do not buy fish because of the batch frying process. This indicates that there may be a loss of trust or satisfaction among loyal customers, causing them to reduce their frequency of visits.
In conclusion, Blue Circle Fish Bar has strengths in their food quality, friendly staff, and available seating. However, weaknesses lie in declining food quality, poor customer service, and a potential loss of trust. It is important for the establishment to address these weaknesses and strive to improve to maintain and attract a loyal customer base.

Always enjoyed the food (kebabs/fish) here, but today all the stars aligned.
Only chippie local(ish) that does saveloys and well worth the trip out. You can sit in and eat although the space is limited.

I ordered cod. That was not cod. Awful. Used to be really good but rapidly gone downhill
Beautiful fresh fish and chips I wouldn't go anywhere else! And also I reccomend the kebab it's delicious and such a fantastic family run shop always polite and smiling great to talk to
The worst chips I have ever eaten in my life and the owners of the shop really need to learn about manors. What do you want is not the way to speak to a customer.
I thought I would try somewhere differant than my normal chip shop on Rolleston Drive.
NEVER AGAIN
I have been a customer at this fish and chip shop since the 70's (under different ownership back then). Only drop in occasionally now, when in the area. Very different business now but convenient to local shops. Wouldn't buy fish these days as they batch fry. Fish should be eaten straight after frying. Decent enough chips and peas. Enjoy the gravy.
