Quick Facts About Tony's Pie & Mash shop
Strengths:
1. Authenticity: Many customers praise Tony's Pie & Mash shop for its traditional and authentic pie and mash. The shop is seen as a place that offers genuine London cuisine, which is appealing to customers looking for an authentic experience.
2. Quality of food: Multiple comments highlight the deliciousness of the pie, mash, and liquor served at Tony's. Customers seem to appreciate the taste and quality of the food, suggesting that the shop consistently prepares well-made dishes.
3. Friendly staff: Several comments mention the friendly and welcoming nature of the staff at Tony's Pie & Mash shop. This aspect contributes to a positive customer experience and can create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for visitors.
4. Value for money: One customer emphasizes the good value for money at Tony's, noting that the prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality of food received. This can make the shop more appealing to customers who are looking for affordable yet satisfying meals.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent sizes: One comment mentions that the pies at Tony's are on the smaller side. Inconsistency in portion sizes can be a potential weakness, as customers may expect a certain standard size for their pies and feel disappointed if they receive smaller portions than anticipated.
2. Lack of standout factor: A customer who traveled a significant distance to visit Tony's found the meal to be okay but not outstanding. This suggests that the shop may lack a standout factor that distinguishes it from other pie and mash shops. Without a unique selling point, Tony's may struggle to attract customers who have other options available to them.
3. Rude staff: One negative comment criticizes the staff's rudeness, describing a lack of friendliness and welcoming behavior. Rude customer service can significantly diminish the overall customer experience and deter potential customers from returning.
4. Increased competition: Another comment from a Black cabby notes that Tony's used to have little competition within a five-mile radius, but that is no longer the case. This suggests that the shop may face increased competition from other pie and mash shops in the area, potentially impacting its customer base and popularity.
5. Lack of variety: The comments provided do not mention any variety in the menu or additional options beyond the traditional pie and mash. While this may not be a significant issue for some customers seeking a classic experience, others may prefer more options to choose from.
In conclusion, Tony's Pie & Mash shop has several strengths, including its authenticity, quality of food, friendly staff, and value for money. However, weaknesses such as inconsistent portion sizes, lack of standout factor, rude staff, increased competition, and potential lack of variety should be addressed to ensure continued success and customer satisfaction.

Finally got the chance to visit after about 3 years of waiting and it did not disappoint! Fantastic, traditional pie and mash cafe in the lovely Waltham Abbey. I had pie, mash abs liquor, and it was bloody delicious, well worth the wait! I will be back!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely fantastic pie, mash and liquor, 1st time I've had it in over 25 year's. I will 100% be back here, I travelled from Luton and worth the drive. Great and friendly staff, Thank's
Haven't been to this place in a long time, and found it had moved a couple of doors down to bigger premises. We'll the pie and mash was has good as ever. Great friendly staff and even had one of the meals replaced free of charge after we knocked a drink over it. Can't fault this place one bit. We will recommend to all to try thus place out.
Got 2 fresh pies and mash for lunch, absolutely phenomenal. Service was friendly location is clean and you can tell they care. Most importantly the pie and mash, simply delicious and a very satisfying meal. 8.50 for 2 pie 2 mash, good value and worth every penny. Will definetly visit again when I'm in the area.
I travelled from home some 25 miles away for what I was hoping would be a top sample of true London cuisine . Although I found the meal ok , it didn’t stand out . The pies are on the small side but liquor and mash were fine . If I were a local I would no doubt visit again , but I’m spoilt for choice
This place has gone down hill badly, rude staff not a hello just what do you want! The pies are dry they don't have the soft botton and the flaky lift top. Manze's in Hoddesdon is a different class if you are in that sort of area. I am a Black cabby I eat this stuff all over London g.kelly roman road is top, Manzes Hoddesdon and Tower Bridge brilliant, Castles , Camden is pretty good, Cookes Hoxton is nice but expensive. Tony's had a 5 mile radius to themselves so they got away with it not anymore.
It's so nice in here. The girls are always friendly and the food is so nice. I've been coming for years and plan to keep coming for many more.
