Quick Facts About Venice Nails & Spa
Venice Nails & Spa is a salon that receives mixed reviews from customers. While some customers have had positive experiences with the salon and praise certain nail technicians, others have had negative experiences and raised concerns about the service, pricing, and unprofessional behavior of some staff members.
One of the strengths of Venice Nails & Spa mentioned in the comments is the skill and professionalism of certain nail technicians. Customers have specifically mentioned Thu and May as providing excellent service and delivering high-quality manicures, pedicures, and eyebrow treatments. These positive experiences highlight the potential for a positive and satisfactory salon visit at Venice Nails & Spa.
Another strength that is highlighted in the comments is the salon's ability to offer specific services such as polygel manicures and overlays. Some customers have praised the results of these treatments, indicating that the salon has the capabilities to provide these specialized services.
However, several weaknesses are also evident from the comments. One recurrent issue raised by customers is the rushed and subpar service received at the salon. Customers have mentioned lumpy manicures, flooding in the cuticle area, and nails breaking shortly after the service. This suggests a lack of attention to detail and skill in the execution of the services.
Additionally, there have been complaints about unprofessional behavior from certain nail technicians. This includes using their phones during appointments, not addressing accidents such as cutting a customer's finger, and unhygienic practices such as using the same nail bit on multiple customers without sanitizing it. These behaviors are unacceptable in a professional salon setting and can greatly diminish the customer experience.
Another weakness that has been mentioned is the pricing of services at Venice Nails & Spa. Some customers feel that the salon is overpriced for the quality of service received. There have been cases where customers were charged extra for nail shaping, even though their nails were already shaped a certain way. This pricing issue has led some customers to feel that their money was not well-spent at the salon.
It is concerning to note that there have been instances of customers feeling uncomfortable and insulted by certain nail technicians. This includes comments about criticizing the length of a customer's toenail and pressuring them to visit the salon more frequently. These actions create a negative and unwelcoming atmosphere for customers, contradicting the relaxing and comfortable experience that a salon should aim to provide.
In conclusion, while Venice Nails & Spa has received positive feedback for the skill and professionalism of certain nail technicians and the availability of specialized services, there are notable weaknesses that cannot be overlooked. These include rushed and subpar service, unprofessional behavior from staff members, pricing issues, and cases of customers feeling uncomfortable or insulted. It is important for the salon to address these weaknesses in order to provide a consistently satisfactory and positive experience for all customers.
Best TL Reviews
I hate leaving bad reviews but unfortunately feel like I have to today so somebody else doesn’t get treated as I did today. 2 weeks ago, I came in to this nail salon and got a polygel manicure that was perfect and I was very pleased with. I came in today to get them removed and get a basic manicure to give them a break. I misspoke and asked for an acrylic removal and when my nail tech (different than the first) began the process of removing my nails, she informed me they were polygel and that they’d be a lot harder to take off and immediately took on a very annoyed tone with me. As soon as we started the process she took her phone out of her pocket and began watching Netflix, not saying a word to me and this continued throughout the whole appointment. When she trimmed my cuticles, she cut my middle finger which started bleeding and went on like nothing happened. The actual manicure was very rushed and turned out lumpy, with lots of flooding in my cuticle area. To top this all off, as my nails were drying and she was watching Netflix, she picked up her foot and began filing her toes with the same nail bit she used on my nails, not sanitizing or replacing the bit!!! Very unsanitary and extremely disappointing considering I rarely ever get my nails done and wanted to treat myself.
Excellent Excellent Excellent !!!!!!! Being a truck driver I have gotten my nail done all over the country.
Thu took her time and did a absolutely fantastic job on my nails and brows... it has been 2 years since I have had such level of professional experience in a nail tech...
Thu... THANK YOU ????
One of the worst manicures ever, pedicure is pretty hard to screw up. $100 total plus tip. I seriously want a full refund as it’s cost me time twice now and money driving back and forth not to mention the actual service.
This is why I got after already having gone back to have 3 that broke the first day fixed. Cracked the first day broke off after 2-3 and I just type on the computer which should not break these THIS easily. This is the dip powder too which is supposedly “stronger” only NOT and way more $$$$. I had a “decent” manicure for 3 days.
Not to mention I had to tell the nail tech to match the lengths on both hands, like WHAT?! I left with one nail so much longer and had to go back when I noticed after I got home. He “added gel” to make them stronger and it didn’t help not to mention they were loaded with streaks. Never again, trash.
This is first time in my life I'm writing negative review but my experience in Venice salon was horrible. I went there for regular pedicure and asked for removing acrylic from my big toes. Woman named "Jenny" started filling down with electric drill, then she brought plastic tips and tried to lift the acrylic from my natural nail! I was speechless until she literally ripped of the acrylic altogether with my nail from nail bed! Then she went to my other toe and filled down the acrylic as she should. she was trying to blame my nails for being weak and was acting like she did nothing wrong. as she saw the results of her "work" she tried to convince me to put new acrylic on the nail she damaged and was very unhappy I refused. I'm a nail technician myself, I know the protocols and procedures and never in my life I've heard about using plastic tips for lifting acrylic from natural nails. insane! not to mention the tools she used were not sterilized, and after using nippers around my ripped nail where they had contact with my blood she just sprayed them with alcohol and put them back into the same box. diposable sanding drill bits are apparently also not disposable in this place, at least the one she had used on me. At this point I'm trying to heal my nail and toe and praying to God I was not infected with any disease. Obviously the was no apology whatsoever but the attitude like "i did nothing wrong".
I'm adding photos I made in my car right after I left this place.
First off, I want to say how over priced this place is. I'm okay with paying good money for service but this service here does not match how much they are charging. Everything was rushed and they were rude. As they were doing my pedicure, another was doing my manicure at the same time when there was no one waiting. If I'm paying for both services, I would expect to enjoy it atleast. When I went to pay they charged me an extra $5 for the "shape"... so if I don't pay for the extra charge of nail "shaping" , they wouldn't be filed down? Meanwhile, my nails were previously already shaped into an almond. I used to come here every time I needed my nails done but stopped for a while and went again today. I remember now why I stopped going to this nail salon. Save your money.
I did not like it here. They are way over priced. My sister and I went there! Too much money. I will never go back there! The women who did my nails was so rude to me and unkind. When I went to pay I had $90 i cash I owed to the lady 11 dollars after that. She told me the I only had $70 which was not true cause my sister and I counted it. She took an advantage of us cause we were young. Not to mention I had an ingrown toe nail and I still have it. I will never go there again. I have never in my life wrote a bad review but I needed to do it this time.
MAY IS THE BEST NAIL TECH EVER ! Her overlays are perfect ! She is very detailed , she does amazing pedicure and she does awesome eyebrows !
Go to May you will not be disappointed. ( relaxed & rejuvenated)
Thank you MAY ! - KAT
My mother went to Venice nail salon today and I do not suggest any one patronize this salon due to the following:
1.) Luyen (nail tech) insulted my mother and made her feel uncomfortable due to her toe nail length
2.) She insisted my mother should visit the nail salon on a more frequent basis and made her feel rather bad
3.) It was my mother's first time visiting the salon, she recently moved and had not found a nail salon that was enough to serve her and Venice Nail Salon in Lake Nona joins the list.
You should never feel uncomfortable based upon perceptions of what they need or what they do not have. It should a relaxing atmosphere where patrons feel comfortable and welcomed by employees of the salon.
Again, Luyen (NAIL TECH) avoid if you must patron this salon and find someone worthy of servicing your needs with care and PROFESSIONALISM.
