Quick Facts About Viva Chinese Buffet
Viva Chinese Buffet has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one comment mentions that the restaurant offers 20 dishes for a buffet price of £10 for adults and £5 for kids. This indicates a good variety of food options at a relatively affordable price. Additionally, the seating capacity can accommodate at least 20 people, which suggests that the restaurant can cater to a decent number of customers. Another positive aspect mentioned is that the food is Halal, which is important for those who prefer to eat Halal food.
There are also a few positive reviews mentioning the good taste of the food and the friendly and helpful staff. One customer even expresses gratitude for the delicious food, nice selection, and reasonable price compared to other Chinese restaurants. These positive reviews indicate that there is some satisfaction among certain customers.
However, there are several weaknesses highlighted in the comments. One common complaint is the limited food selection. According to one review, the buffet offers a very limited variety of food, which can be disappointing for customers looking for a wide range of options. Another issue raised is the quality of the food. Multiple comments mention that the food was at best warm and sometimes even cold, as well as excessively salty. This indicates a lack of attention to maintaining the freshness and appropriate seasoning of the dishes.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is also mentioned as a weakness. One reviewer states that there is no atmosphere, suggesting a lack of ambience or a pleasant dining environment. This can detract from the overall dining experience for customers.
Furthermore, there are complaints about the pricing and potential discrepancies between the advertised price and the actual price charged. One customer mentions that the sign in the window states £9 per person, but they were charged £10 upon payment. This can create a sense of dissatisfaction and distrust towards the restaurant.
Several negative comments express dissatisfaction with the food quality and cooking. One customer describes the food as stale and not cooked properly, leading them to feel sick after eating it. Additionally, there is a mention of an individual outside the restaurant aggressively promoting the food, which can create a negative impression and potentially deter potential customers.
Despite the negative feedback, there is one positive review that mentions reasonable expectations considering the price. The reviewer acknowledges that for £9, it is unlikely to expect a luxury experience, but emphasizes that the food was fresh and hot, and the staff was nice. This suggests that there may be some variation in the experiences of different customers.
In conclusion, Viva Chinese Buffet has several weaknesses that include a limited food selection, issues with food quality and seasoning, a lack of atmosphere, and potential pricing discrepancies. However, there are also some strengths, such as the affordable buffet pricing, Halal options, and positive reviews about the taste of the food and friendly staff.

I am sorry but I can not recommend this place to anyone. This is a buffet restaurant with a very limited food selection. The food at best was warm if not cold, it was also very salty. I would say too much salt for must people. You help yourself to drink out of the fridge. They is no atmosphere. The sign in the window says £9 per person, but when I went to pay, they wanted to charge me £10. So if you like good Chinese food, this is not the place to go.
Great Chinese food, 20 dishes for a buffet of £10 adults each and kids go for £5 each. Seating capacity is also good for 20 people atleast. Good taste. For those who prefer Halal, it is Halal.
Hunger saviour. The place offers buffet takeway and eat in. Takeway is almost half the price where you can take as much food as you can fit in the container. Lot of Chinese options and you should like 2-3 surely.
Whenever we come to Windsor we dine at this place for a variety of usual food. We are fine, there is a lot of choice of food and the prices are really low for the average. I don't know what people expect. There are some foods in particular that I really appreciate every time I go there and they are spring rolls, dragon clouds, spaghetti both spicy and without spices (I prefer), stewed chicken, rice with egg for children , the mushrooms. We are usually two adults and two children aged 1 and 3 years. the owner is always available and always with a smile.
The food was delicious, there was a nice selection, the man at the front was very friendly and helpful and it only costs £10 per person, so was very well-priced compared to other Chinese restaurants, so thank you.
Food tasteless. Been sitting there fir God knows how long. If £9 can ever be too much, this is it. Go to the Thai buffet. Loads better
Horrible food - the food was stale and not cooked properly. Felt sick after eating it. There’s a guy who stands out of the restaurant and literally forces you to come in to try the food. I’d say please go to any other restaurant but not this.
I love Chinese food and I think this restaurant is reasonably okay because what else would you expect in £9. Staff was nice and food was fresh and hot. I can see people reviews they should know that if you buy only salt and pepper wings its cost £5 at least for 6 wings and in this restaurant they have many other things and dont forget they cant give you luxury experience in £9. For me it was good and filling after whole day.
