Quick Facts About Westminster Cafe Bar

The Westminster Cafe Bar has several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, the fact that the cafe is dog-friendly is a positive aspect. This allows pet owners to visit the cafe and enjoy their meal without having to leave their furry friends at home. Additionally, the warm welcome upon entering the cafe creates a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for visitors.
The comments also indicate that the food at the Westminster Cafe Bar is delicious. The homemade soup and sandwiches are specifically mentioned as being ideal for a cold winter day in Whitehaven. The soup is described as piping hot and delicious, while the chicken salad sandwich is mentioned as being generously filled. The food never disappoints, and customers have enjoyed starting their weekend with mulled wine and minced pies. This demonstrates that the cafe offers a variety of tasty options to suit different preferences and occasions.
The service at the Westminster Cafe Bar is highly praised. The staff is described as friendly, accommodating, and excellent in their service. Customers appreciate the prompt service and the fact that their party of 5 was well taken care of. The food is also reported to be well-prepared and cooked. These positive comments about the service and food preparation show that the staff at the cafe takes pride in their work and aims to provide a pleasant experience for customers.
Another strength of the Westminster Cafe Bar is the wide range of drink options, both alcoholic and soft. The inclusion of new milkshake flavors shows that the cafe is committed to offering innovative choices to its customers. This variety ensures that there is something for everyone, and customers can enjoy a drink that suits their preferences.
Despite its strengths, the Westminster Cafe Bar also has weaknesses that are highlighted in one of the comments. The main concern raised is the high price of some menu items. One customer expresses surprise and disappointment at the cost of a half sandwich, which was £17 and did not come with any side items. The customer compares this price to their experience in London, stating that they have never seen such an expensive sandwich even in overpriced tourist restaurants. The customer suggests that the cafe may be targeting tourists with higher prices. This comment raises a valid point about the affordability of the menu items and suggests that the cafe could benefit from price comparison research and potentially offering more value for money by including side items with certain dishes.
In conclusion, the Westminster Cafe Bar is praised for its dog-friendly atmosphere, warm welcome, delicious homemade soup and sandwiches, prompt service, accommodating staff, and wide drink selection. However, there is room for improvement in terms of pricing and offering better value for certain menu items. Nonetheless, the positive aspects of the cafe make it a recommendable place to visit.

Great place ro chill. Food never disappointing.
The friendly staff were very accommodating with our party of 5. The food choice is really good and the food was very well prepared and cooked. There is a wide range of drinks, alcoholic and soft including new milkshake flavours. There isn't a children's menu as such and children are served smaller portions of the menu.
Wow, what an unexpected gem. We wanted somewhere for a group of seven + Dog + Baby and at short notice accommodated perfectly. Having a dog often limits the quality of the places on offer however in this case it's guided us into somewhere lovely. The food was gorgeous and looked as good as it tasted. Service was excellent, we were made to feel very welcome.
Food was delicious and served promptly, owner was very friendly - can’t fault that side however reason for 1 star was that the price was simply through the roof for what it was. An ‘open sandwich’ which was one slice of bread, with halloumi and avocado (one of the only veggie sandwich options) - no side salad, no chips, crisps or anything on the side, and it was a whopping £17!!! Admittedly, I hadn’t clocked the price on the menu first but…£17! And cash only.
I’ve lived in London for 13 years and have never seen a half sandwich priced anywhere near this, even in some of the most overpriced tourist restaurants in central London.
Nice enough place, but just cannot get my head around this price, mentioned anecdotally the next day to a number of local people we’d met and they all fell of their chairs in shock laughter when I told them.
Nice enough little place but perhaps we’d been given the menu with the ‘tourist prices’…
If owners are reading, perhaps consider popping a bit of lettuce on the side at least and doing a bit of price comparison research.
The food and service is always spot on
