Quick Facts About Ya Koyo Restaurant
Ya Koyo Restaurant seems to have several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, it is praised for its ability to bring the African taste to its meals, which suggests that the restaurant is successful in delivering authentic African flavors. Additionally, customers mention that the food is tasty and fresh, indicating that the ingredients used are of good quality and the dishes are well-prepared. The presentation of the food is also mentioned positively, suggesting that Ya Koyo pays attention to the visual aspect of their dishes.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is described as modern and cool, which appeals to customers who dine in. This indicates that Ya Koyo has created an inviting and aesthetically pleasing environment for its customers. The neatness of the place is also emphasized, suggesting that the restaurant maintains a clean and comfortable setting for its patrons.
However, there are also weaknesses that can be derived from the comments. One customer had a negative experience when attempting to place a phone order. They describe the lady on the phone as rude and unhelpful, which is a negative reflection on the customer service provided by the restaurant. This incident suggests that there may be a communication issue or lack of staff training in dealing with customer inquiries over the phone.
Another customer had a very negative experience with their food order. They mention receiving burnt rice, dried-up turkey instead of chicken, and not receiving the second dish they ordered. The server's response to the complaint was described as rude, and the owner was unwilling to listen to the customer's concerns. This indicates a major failure in the kitchen and front-of-house operations, as well as a lack of willingness to address customer complaints and rectify the situation.
Despite these weaknesses, there are positive aspects mentioned as well. One customer, who describes themselves as a foodie, praises the restaurant for serving the best Egusi and pounded yam they have ever had. This indicates that Ya Koyo has the ability to create standout dishes that cater to customers with discerning palates.
Another customer, who claims to be a foodie and a picky eater, searches extensively for the best African food and found Ya Koyo to be their new favorite African restaurant in Manchester. This suggests that the restaurant has a strong reputation among food lovers and has managed to capture the essence of African cuisine in their dishes.
In conclusion, Ya Koyo Restaurant has strengths in terms of bringing authentic African flavors to their meals, using fresh and tasty ingredients, presenting dishes well, and creating a modern and cool atmosphere. However, weaknesses can be observed in the customer service provided over the phone, and the negative experience with burnt rice, dried-up turkey, and missing food. Despite these weaknesses, positive comments from food enthusiasts and picky eaters highlight the restaurant's ability to create standout dishes and establish itself as a favorite African restaurant. It is evident that improvements can be made in certain areas, but the overall strengths contribute to the appeal of Ya Koyo Restaurant.

My kids enjoyed the meal. Thanks for bringing the African taste.
The food is tasty and fresh, presented well. If you're dining in the atmosphere is modern and cool! Ya Koyo is on point
I called to order food for ten people -the lady didn’t understand me, so asked me to call back later. I called back and she was very rude, saying the person I need to speak to wasn’t there and was speaking over me - the restaurant was open. I explained that I just wanted to order some food-but again she wasn’t ready to take my order. Disappointed, as the restaurant had been recommended to me.
Nice and Neat place to eat .Very comfortable environment to est home cooked food.
Worst experience. Ordered Jollof rice, chicken and plantain & beef dish, waited 48 minutes to be served burnt rice, dried up Turkey and no plantain & never received the 2nd dish. When the server came over to ask we explained the situation the the rice was burnt, given Turkey instead of chicken and the plantain was missing, she then started to speak rude about us to other customers and put me on the phone to the owner who didn’t want to listen to anything I had to say, completely rude and embarrassing that you would even serve that food. She demanded we had to pay or have an alternative order… which why would we want to wait for the same poor food? absolutely shocking experience
I am a foodie and I know good food! The best Egusi and pounded yam I’ve ever had! Thank you keep up the good work ! ????
Okay so, I am a foodie, I literally hunt for the best places to eat wherever I travel, and I am very picky when it comes to my African food; so I searched for a long time and gave this restaurant a try.
First of all:
-the food is FRESH
-it is REAL African food
-IT TASTES absolutely amazing
-and the PORTIONS are just perfect.
The ladies there prepare everything from scratch, and mind you these dishes need time and patience to be cooked and these ladies don’t disappoint.
I have found MY NEW AFRICAN RESTAURANT in Manchester.
Give it a try You won’t be disappointed, if you need they’ll explain to you what is what. Also the place is modest but gives a little African ambiance that is worth to be known.
