Quick Facts About Yhaal House
Yhaal House seems to have several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, many customers mentioned that the restaurant serves great authentic Sri Lankan food. This indicates that the flavors and preparation of the dishes at Yhaal House are true to Sri Lankan cuisine, providing customers with an authentic dining experience.
Additionally, good customer service is repeatedly mentioned, with customers expressing their satisfaction with the service they received. This suggests that the staff at Yhaal House is attentive, friendly, and creates a positive atmosphere for the customers.
The affordability of the food at Yhaal House is also highlighted. Several comments mention that the prices are reasonable, making this restaurant an appealing option for those looking for budget-friendly dining options.
The spacious seating arrangement in the restaurant is seen as a strength, although one customer does mention a preference for take-away. The availability of both dine-in and take-away options caters to different customer preferences and provides flexibility.
The spicy meat rolls receive high praise from one customer, who describes them as amazing and a favorite to try every time. This suggests that Yhaal House excels in preparing this particular dish, potentially indicating the overall quality of their meat-based offerings.
However, there are also some weaknesses that can be derived from the comments. One customer had a negative experience with the biryani, describing it as the worst they have ever had. The lack of flavor, presence of peppers and peas (not traditionally found in biryani), and the use of old-tasting rice all contributed to the disappointment. This suggests that Yhaal House may need to improve their biryani recipe and execution to meet customer expectations.
Another customer complained about suffering from food poisoning after consuming the kothu rotti dish. This is a serious issue and raises concerns about food safety and hygiene practices in the kitchen. It is essential for Yhaal House to address this complaint promptly and take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of their customers.
One customer mentions a dislike for the disconnected staff, noting that they may appear rude but are just more comfortable with regular customers. This suggests a lack of consistent customer service and could potentially make new or unfamiliar customers feel unwelcome. Yhaal House may need to work on improving staff training and creating a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
Cleanliness is also mentioned as an area that could be improved, with a customer suggesting that a "shiny layout" would help. While it is noted that Yhaal House is not unhygienic, maintaining cleanliness is crucial for any food establishment to ensure the health and safety of customers.
In conclusion, Yhaal House has several strengths such as serving authentic Sri Lankan food, providing good customer service, and offering affordable prices. However, there are areas for improvement, including the biryani recipe and execution, food safety and hygiene practices, staff training for better customer service, and cleanliness of the restaurant. Addressing these weaknesses would help Yhaal House enhance the overall dining experience for their customers.

Great authentic Sri Lankan food... Good customer service and will be a regular here... There are space to sit and eat but I prefer take away. The spicy meat rolls are amazing and my favourite to try everytime.
Quite possibly the worst biryani I've had in my life. The man that took my order asked me to wait for 10 mins (It was very questionable as to why he asked me to wait because most biryanis in restaurants are already prepared earlier in the day but they took 10 mins because their version of a biryani was just made like fried rice) I've grown up eating biryani all my life, the good kind but never had one like this was disappointing in every way lacked flavour, it had peppers and peas in it like fried rice, the rice itself tasted old and definitely did not taste anything like a biryani it was absolutely grim would not recommend this dish here definitely
Authentic basic cheap but very tasty Sri Lankan food. Don't expect a polished waiter service, this is not what this place is about. Would we go back. Absolutely.
Perfect place for Sri Lankan food.
Very affordable price.
I been going here for almost 10 years now.
No complaints ✌️
One of the reasons why this restaurant is because of their signature dish, the mutton kuttu roti. From taste to potion size this place is recommended for kuttu roti lover. They also have other starter, lunch and dinner which are also nice!
Same complaint as the previous customer. Food poisoning from the kothu rotti we had last night. Absolutely disgusting! I have had to call in sick to work because of it. Truly shocking! God knows what happens in that kitchen!
I've been living in London for about 8 months and haven't been really been able find a proper Sri Lankan food place. You know to get things I don't know how to cook. ????
Anyway, saw some good reviews for this place and thought I'd give it a go. So the food was absolutely amazing. I got a chicken Kottu, lamb biryani, lamb rolls and vegetables roti. All them had so much flavour and the portions were so big two of us had it over 3 meals.
One less star because the staff were a little disconnected. There are a lot of reviews about them being rude but I wouldn't say that because I think they just feel more comfortable with people they know. Also the cleanliness could go up a notch, not unhygienic by any standard but just a bit more shiny layout would help.
No pictures because I got too excited and ate everything before I remembered pictures. ????
Best mutton rolls in South London. Still at unbelievable prices. Other foods made to perfection are the vegetable rolls, fish patties and mutton Kotthu. If you're feeling something sweet get a soosiam or a bonda.
