Quick Facts About Acorn Coffee Shop, Restaurant

Acorn Coffee Shop and Restaurant has received mixed feedback from its customers. Below, I will analyze the provided comments to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment.
One of the strengths of the Acorn Coffee Shop and Restaurant, as mentioned by a customer, is their Sunday roast. They offer a variety of quality meats to choose from, including lamb and pork. This indicates that they focus on providing a diverse and satisfying menu for their customers. Additionally, the fact that the establishment is dog-friendly is another positive point, as it appeals to a wider range of customers and creates a welcoming atmosphere.
Another strength of the coffee shop and restaurant is their reasonable pricing. One customer mentioned that the coffee was reasonably priced, which implies that the establishment offers good value for money. This could be a factor that attracts customers and increases their likelihood of returning.
However, there are several weaknesses that have been highlighted in the comments. One of the main issues mentioned is the inconsistency in food quality and preparation. One customer described their breakfast experience as a mess, with overcooked and oily eggs, cold sausages with a strange taste, and hash browns that seemed unappetizing. Another customer mentioned that their pork baguette was microwaved, resulting in a soggy texture. These comments indicate a lack of attention to detail in the food preparation process, which could negatively impact customer satisfaction and lead to a decline in repeat business.
Another weakness highlighted is the lack of organization and efficiency in service. One customer mentioned that staff seemed scattered and disorganized, and it took a considerable amount of time to get their breakfast and coffee. Another comment mentions the absence of menus and dirty tables, suggesting a lack of attention to cleanliness and customer comfort. These aspects contribute to an overall negative dining experience and may lead customers to seek alternative establishments.
In addition, there have been complaints about long waiting times for food. One customer mentioned waiting 45 minutes for a simple lunch, which is an unacceptably long wait time, especially considering the relatively low number of customers at the time. This indicates a lack of efficiency in the kitchen and could result in frustration and dissatisfaction among customers.
Furthermore, inconsistency in food presentation and seasoning has been mentioned as an issue. One customer described their omelette as lacking seasoning and being accompanied by an unappetizing garnish of half a cherry tomato, half a slice of cucumber, and a small amount of grated carrot. This suggests a lack of attention to detail in the presentation of dishes, which can impact the overall dining experience and customer perception of the establishment.
To summarize, Acorn Coffee Shop and Restaurant has both strengths and weaknesses. Their Sunday roast and reasonable pricing are positive aspects that can attract customers, along with their dog-friendly policy. However, issues with food quality, preparation, service efficiency, cleanliness, and food presentation, as mentioned in the comments, represent significant weaknesses. Addressing these weaknesses would be crucial for the establishment to improve customer satisfaction and maintain a positive reputation.

I don't even know where to start, but I will try. Past experience, amazing food was having a good day, so wanted good food. Current experience staff all over the place food came out quickly after trying to explain we wanted a breakfast and pulled pork baguette. The breakfast was a mess bacon, which looked like it had all been shredded and put in a little pile eggs way over cooked and dripping with oil sausages cold and had a very weird taste hash browns looked like they had gone for a dip in the sea. Toast was nice, and the beans. Coffee I had one sip not good cost 10.50. The pork baguette was microwaved, so it was soggy in parts and felt like rubber in other parts. No sauce cost 9.50, not a good place would not recommend possibly maybe just a tea ????
Breakfast was warmed up in microwave really small breakfast for nearly £8.
Got our toast 15 minutes before our actual breakfast. Thought it was greasy and Luke warm. Took ages to get a coffee. No menus and dirty tables everywhere.
What a great cafe. Came here today for a Sunday roast. Great quality meats to choose from. We went for lamb and pork, but chicken or beef also available. It came with all the trimmings you would ever want. To top it all they are dog friendly and Poppy got a sausage. Staff so warm, welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend and will be returning soon.
Just stopped for a coffee, which was reasonably priced unlike some places these days. Saw they were doing Sunday roasts for £10.50, which looked very good. Quite a few customers all eating it, so that's a good sign. Even had a few people dropping by to get a takeaway. Eat inside or outside. It's right next to Oakley Green garden centre, so 2 things to do in the one visit.
Stopped here for a light lunch after a walk with the dog on Yate Common.
Very dog friendly restaurant and the food was excellent. I had a tuna melt panini, which came with side salad and crisps. Plenty of filling in the panini and the right amount if salad and crisps.
Will definitely return.
Think they were short staffed but we had to wait 45 mins for a simple lunch. Couldn't cope with only 15 customers to cater for. Won't be returning in a rush. When food arrived it was was nice.
Good food, nice place & nice staffs.
I've ordered "4 eggs" omelette with cheese and mushrooms which was quite nicely fried. Wanted to order some side chips but was told that need to wait 25min for them!?! The omelette comes with toast however it was served with HALF of cherry tomato and HALF slice of a cucumber and inch of grated carrot!! It just looked really sad on the plate.. When I asked if they have run out of ingredients I was told that this is just garnish not a salad but wast offered any salad instead. With slice of dry and falling apart toast and mouth burning latte wasn't very good experience at all.
Ohh by the way.. A bit of salt in egg never killed anyone.. Omelette without seasoning taste just wrong.
