Weaknesses: 1. Inconsistency in appointments: Some customers experienced issues with making appointments, such as appointments not being honored due to clients being late or walk-ins. This led to frustration and inconvenience for customers who traveled a distance to visit the salon. 2. I went for a pedicure and the tech did exactly as I asked and it came out great. Very nice people.
Paid alot of money gave a great tip and the girl sucked very poor work . no lotion on my feet and they looked drier than dry !!! very fast spent very little time . Holidays and i had to do back for touch up an hour later
I’m very disappointed. I had asked for my nails to be done again before the color was not matching what I had seen. The second time the lady did not even bother to file down my nails.
I did not want to be that annoying customer to ask for the 3rd time to get my nails fixed.
I am very disappointed in this place.
Very cute, very calm nail salon. I like my polish to be applied very clean and crisp, and they do an amazing job every time! I'm satisfied with all my visits and the pedicures are just lovely. Prices are also very reasonable for the high quality service they give.
Don't be fooled by the exterior of this place, it is very clean and professional inside. I was put off a little by how it looked with the shop next door being vacant and the shutters to Aimi Nails pulled down. The owner and employees were running late so the place was closed. They did arrive after a few minutes and I was very happy with my gel manicure. I had the young man, he was great and did exactly what I wanted. I liked my pedicure as well as my upper lip wax. They were even sensitive to my time restrictions. I am from out of town, Fairfield, CT, and went to the place site unseen. Once I got inside I was pleasantly surprised.
The manicure was poorly done and in a hurry , dip color started wearing off in less than a week ( mine lasts for atleast a month when done at another manicure place)
I was honestly feeling sceptical as I sat down since the place had a bit of a dusty appearance but it seems that they are going through some renovation work there...
"Lillian" did my nails. She was gentle and did a wonderful job.
My daughter had her nails done by the male nail technician (he didn't wear a name badge) and my daughter is extremely happy with her nails and design as well!
Both of us felt like we got extra pampered by getting our hands dipped in paraffin wax, which was complimentary!
We didn't get rushed and no one attempted to rub my back (I personally can't stand those back rubs...)
We will definitely be back soon!
I absolutely love my nails and have been getting acrylics for almost 8 years. I went to Aimi Time for almost a year and unfortunately won’t be going back again. I’m here to share my experiences and observations.
The good: The salon is very clean and the (gel) polishes were all fresh and cured perfectly. Lambor and Zoey (who was my main nail tech & has since left to my understanding) were the some of the most experienced & talented nail techs in the area and that I have ever been to. I have referred many friends to Aimi Time and to Lambor & Zoey in particular. Their attention to detail was immaculate and I could easily go 4 weeks without a fill. I could show either of them any picture of a design and they were able to copy it almost identically. The prices are extremely reasonable in my opinion for the work and quality that they do. The paraffin wax at the end of the manicure is a great bonus.
The bad: Making appointments was always a hit or a miss. Not necessarily always their fault; clients are late, no shows, walk ins; etc. but very frustrating when you made an appt and it isn’t honored, especially if you’re coming from a bit of a distance away. I found that making appts earlier in the day was the safest bet, so the earlier the better. It seems based on other reviews that there are a few techs there that are not that great. My best friend and I ended up getting a tech named Jaima on separate occasions recently. My friend ended up taking her nails off completely because they were lifting and uneven. I unintentionally went to the same tech and thought my nails were fine at first and looked great, but within the first few days started to notice issues. I have never had a nail break since I started going there, and after my fill in with her just 2 weeks ago, I lost one nail and experienced lifting on two other nails, which I have since removed. The nails are extremely thin as well and small pieces & corners of the nails were chipping off within the first few days or edges were jagged.
Lastly, the only outwardly friendly person I encountered there was Lillian; the rest of the staff is relatively cold and very quiet. If you like to chat with your nail tech while you get your nails done, this definitely is not the place for you. The entire salon could be full and there wouldn’t be a peep. I personally don’t care either way about making conversation, but there is something to be said about greeting your customers and treating them kindly. Every time I went in for a fill I was treated like an inconvenience and felt on edge. They do not care about you or make you feel welcome by any means, they are simply there to do their job and that’s it. I overlooked all of this because of the amazing work that Zoey and Lambor did, but after my recent experience I will be seeking a better option. I’m really disappointed but I’ve reached by limit with everything combined.
