Quick Facts About Ali's Grill
Ali's Grill has a mix of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one recurring theme is the excellent quality of the food. Customers repeatedly mention how delicious the food is, specifically praising the chicken shawarma, beef burger with cheese, and chicken tandoori. The flavors are described as full and generous, surpassing those of well-known fast food chains like McDonald's and Burger King. The kebabs are also highlighted as some of the best in the area.
Another strength mentioned is the fast service. Many customers appreciate the quick turnaround time, especially when ordering takeout or during busy periods. Additionally, the staff is described as friendly by some, with mentions of them making an effort to ensure customer satisfaction and apologize for any inconveniences.
Freshness is also emphasized as a strength. The salads are said to contain plenty of fresh vegetables, and the food is consistently described as fresh and tasty. This contributes to the overall positive dining experience at Ali's Grill.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one major issue highlighted in the comments is the poor customer service. Many customers complain about staff attitudes, citing instances of disrespect, aggression, and a lack of manners. One specific incident mentioned is when a staff member was sarcastic and unapologetic after missing part of a customer's order. This reflects negatively on the establishment's professionalism and customer-focused approach.
Another weakness mentioned is the inconsistency in food preparation. There are cases where customers received the incorrect order, such as ordering a chicken burger but receiving a beef burger instead. In one instance, a customer even received undercooked chicken. These mistakes can lead to disappointment and frustration, especially for those who have dietary restrictions or preferences.
Finally, there are comments regarding cleanliness and hygiene. One customer mentions seeing a staff member with dirty fingernails, which raises concerns about the overall cleanliness of the establishment. Attention to cleanliness and personal hygiene is important for any food-related business to maintain customer trust.
In conclusion, while Ali's Grill receives praise for their delicious food, fast service, and fresh ingredients, they also face criticism for their poor customer service, inconsistent order accuracy, and cleanliness issues. Addressing these weaknesses would greatly improve the overall dining experience and ensure customer loyalty.

Ali's chicken tandoori is very nice
Looking forward to the next visit. Will try something more.
No respect for the customer from the stuff, we have spent 50£ order the chips and no chip giving, star to shouts and been very aggressive. I hope the Bose will read this review and will talk to his stuff.
I'm sorry but the customer service is something they need to take very seriously, they need to learn the manners and curtsey for the customer, the one with glasses needs to learn how to serve customers... Either he is too young or doesn't bother the importance of it.... the only person who is right there and gives smile is the lady who makes fries... Trust me I gave them the benefit of doubt thinking busy time maybe getting on them but last two times I visited they were fairly quite and still appalling service,.... Its a genuine and serious comment please take it as constructive criticism... Food is OK. Mostly nice food but last time my chicken was under done....
One of the best kebab shops I have ever used. Their food is so tasty and always fresh - their chips are SO good - well everything is good. Great for a treat if you're looking for something a bit unhealthy but their salads and chicken kebabs are delicious if you're looking for something a bit healthier too. Definitely recommend!
Our family are big fans of Ali's Grill - we remember when it opened and have loved it for years. The food is yummy, there are plenty of fresh vegetables in the salad and the staff there are really friendly and respectful. They always make an effort to ensure we have the food we want and apologise if they have run out of something. I really recommend them. I also really recommend reading their responses to their negative reviews if you want a laugh - we wondered why there were any negative reviews because we've never had a bad experience with them, but reading their responses, it sounds like others haven't had a bad experience with Ali's Grill, but with their own attitude. Peace and love to you guys - you're the best!
Best food in cobham, fast service, friendly staff, great shwarmas and burgers.
I was a customer in this takeaway shop one evening recently who witnessed an appalling thing to another customer. As a female I was quite distressed by it so felt the need to create a Google account and write this. A man placed an order and they missed off part of it. He then asked them to keep the food that they already prepared for him warm whilst cooking what they forgot to make. He asked nicely but one of the men behind the counter was very sarcastic asking him if he wanted to put it in the oven. It was a silly thing really but the fellow customer replied saying there’s no need to be sarcastic and an apology for forgetting the full order would have been nice! Fair enough I thought. Then another staff member told him to leave as they don’t need or want his custom. Does this kind of 80s barbaric customer service still exist? I have been there twice and granted, the food is tasty but I did notice on this occasion filthy finger nails from the man with glasses. Plus their rude treatment of the other customer was appalling. I certainly won’t be revisiting. The sarcastic man (chubby, full of himself with a cap) then proceeded to showing off in his Rolls Royce, sorry Volkswagen, outside but revving the engine and playing loud music. This is not what one would expect from an area like Cobham. Trashy service in a lovely area.
Following on from my review, I expected a response of this manner from such individuals - who wouldn’t? Funnily enough I don’t drive but you saw me drive off in a Kia and I am male pretending to be female- how comical. I live less than a 3 walk from this establishment and if I did drive it wouldn’t be a Kia or a Volkswagen, so no I don’t regret not hearing the noise from your engine. It just amused me that he seemed to care more about his car than customers! Isn’t it a shame that folk react so aggressively when one is simply pointing out facts.
