Quick Facts About American Nails

American Nails place has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths mentioned is that they accept walk-ins. This can be convenient for customers who may not have an appointment and need immediate nail services. Additionally, the prices seem to be reasonable for the services offered. It is mentioned that the total cost of a French tip, pedicure, and shellac on toes was $86, which the customer found satisfactory. The affordability of their services could be considered a strength for customers on a budget.
Another strength mentioned is the talent and skill of specific nail technicians. Customers appreciated the work of Andy and Quin, stating that they were fast, neat, and thorough with their artwork. This indicates that there are skilled technicians at American Nails place who can provide quality nail services.
However, there are several weaknesses that are highlighted in the comments. One major weakness is the poor customer service experienced by some customers. It is mentioned that the staff members were rude and dismissive when concerns were raised. In one instance, a customer complained about a nail technician using a drill that caused discomfort and burning of the nail bed. The response from the front booth was confrontational and lacked empathy. This lack of customer service can lead to dissatisfied customers and negative online reviews, which can harm the reputation of American Nails place.
Another weakness mentioned is the cleanliness of the salon. Customers noticed that the salon was not well-maintained, with unclean floors, chairs, and sinks. This can create an unappealing and unhygienic environment for customers. Maintaining a clean and sanitary salon is crucial to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
Furthermore, there were multiple complaints about the rough handling of customers' nails and cuticles. Some customers mentioned that they experienced cuts and open wounds due to the negligence of the nail technicians. This raises concerns about the technicians' training and attention to detail. Rough handling and careless practices can result in discomfort, pain, and potential infections for customers. This is a significant weakness that needs to be addressed to ensure the well-being of customers.
Additionally, there were instances of overcharging and attempts to convince customers to use the ATM instead of paying with a card. This unethical behavior, if true, is a major weakness and reflects poorly on the integrity of the salon. Scamming customers and overcharging can lead to a loss of trust and loyalty, as seen in the comment where a customer states they will never return.
In conclusion, American Nails place has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Some strengths include the ability to accommodate walk-ins and affordable prices. There are also skilled technicians who can provide quality nail services. However, there are significant weaknesses in terms of customer service, cleanliness, rough handling of nails, and possible scamming of customers. Addressing these weaknesses is crucial for the salon to provide a positive and satisfactory experience for customers.

Best TL Reviews

I came in here on Christmas Eve. Both my daughter and I. The gentleman that did my nails used a drill on my shellac polish to remove! The drill continued to burn my nail-bed and I complained about. The woman in the front booth had the audacity to yell back at me stating he has to use the it! I stated, not if I’m paying for it and he is burning my nail-bed!!! Then he proceeded to soak the polish off, instead of using the drill. They don’t have the correct acetone because after over 30 minutes the polish still wasn’t soaked off. So then he decides to file and soak, file and soak, etc. Then attempted to use the drill again! This time a softer drill (I guess). I refused to let them touch my daughter so I took her to another nail salon that evening (much better customer service and quality work) in the neighborhood. Since then my nails have felt so fragile, tender, and uncomfortable. They’ve been chipping and breaking left and right. I really wish I had just left! On top of the salon could use a cleaning service. You can tell no one sweeps the floor, clean the chairs, clean the sinks, etc. I was just desperate this day. It would’ve been better to not have my nails done than having poor service here. Also, I don’t think they don’t do well with certain cultures if you know what I mean. I don’t understand why they continue service individuals they have no respect for. Go at your own risk.
Great experience! It was my first time visiting there, I went since I was close to the area and they accept WALK-INs. The young lady helped me figure out the style I wanted and referred to pictures from herself and me to reach an idea. I went with a French tip. They didn’t have white tips so she drew them herself. They came out near perfect! The final filing on the sides after the design broke the color, but I feel like I just ask to skip that step next time. My pedicure was thorough and the leg massage included was enjoyable. Overall I’m satisfied. My service in total was $86 for a French tip, pedicure and shellac on toes. I will be returning in the future.
The long set is the design I requested and the short set is the result. I like my nails short and Quin in the second chair to the left was able to complete design. He was attentive and fixed errors.
Their work is nice, however the guy who did my nails was SUPER rough. I kept telling him but he did not listen. I have 6-7 open cuts on my cuticles & fingers due to his negligence. So I won’t be coming back here. My fingers have been sore all day.
I used some peroxide to hopefully prevent any infections. If your diabetic, DO NOT come here. Bc they will cut your fingers and it will take a very long time to heal.
Most horrible Pedi. He rushed through the entire pedicure. Customer service not so good. Was told , $25 at the door and 30 once in the chair. Didn't apologize and say sorry they gave you the wrong info. 30 was fine. Then comes the bad Pedi. Big toes look like they haven't been touched. I wasted my time and money
Left picture what I asked for right picture what I got! Andy is the best. He is very talented , neat, fast and very thorough with his art work. I come all the way from Canton to Southfield . Highly recommend Andy! Thanks
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Andy did my nails and I usually pay $50. Right before he scanned my card he told me it was $50 but tried to convince me to use the ATM (so they don't have to pay taxes I'm sure) and instead of $50, he charged me $67!!!!! I was furious!!! He tried to argue with me. These are the most basic nails I've ever gotten so it shouldn't have even been $50. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!! I will never step foot in here again!!
Overall bad job. Shellac was thick and lumpy on nails and feet. Lack luster pedicure. Nails are uneven ALL OVER. No attention to detail. Cuticles were cut and hanging. They placed oil on them instead of repairing what they cut. Nail bed is now rough and they were not upon entering. Second time coming here since new ownership. Will not be returning.
