Quick Facts About Bell's Motor Lodge Motel
Bell's Motor Lodge Motel has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments above. Overall, the motel is praised for its convenient location, cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, there are some concerns regarding the temperature control, lack of amenities, spotty WiFi, and limited services during certain periods.
Starting with the strengths, Bell's Motor Lodge Motel receives positive feedback for its location and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the motel's convenient location, which is likely in a high traffic tourism area. The rooms are described as clean and the beds as comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay for guests.
The staff at Bell's Motor Lodge Motel is also highlighted for their friendliness and accommodating nature. This contributes to a positive guest experience, making the motel feel welcoming and hospitable. The owners and manager, in particular, are mentioned for their friendly demeanor and engaging conversations with guests.
Additionally, the presence of a pool is seen as a bonus by guests, providing a source of entertainment and relaxation during their stay. The pool's water temperature is mentioned as being perfect, suggesting that guests can enjoy a refreshing swim during their visit.
On the other hand, weaknesses are also identified in the comments. One recurring complaint is the lack of control over the room's temperature. The fact that the AC is set at 72 degrees and controlled by the office is mentioned as a hindrance to a good night's sleep, particularly for middle-aged individuals during hot weather.
Another weakness noted is the lack of amenities. While the motel offers clean rooms, comfortable beds, WiFi, and a big TV with plenty of cable channels, guests mention the absence of frills such as breakfast or a gym. While some commenters understand that these are not to be expected given the cost, it may be a drawback for those who desire additional amenities.
The WiFi service at Bell's Motor Lodge Motel also receives mixed reviews. While one guest praises the WiFi as being useful for entertainment, another mentions that it was not reliable even when they were close to the window. This inconsistency could be frustrating for guests who rely on a stable internet connection.
There are also concerns about limited services during certain periods of the year. One reviewer states that during their stay over Labor Day weekend, the pool was closed, there was no maid service, and ice service was unavailable. This guest feels that they should have had all services available since they paid the same rate as other guests. Similarly, another guest criticizes the lack of communication regarding the motel's closure after Labor Day, causing inconvenience for their planned trip.
Lastly, one commenter mentions a specific issue with the reservation system. They had booked five rooms for mid-September but were only informed two weeks before their trip that the motel would be closed. This lack of communication and unavailability of rooms highlights a need for improvement in the reservation system.
In conclusion, Bell's Motor Lodge Motel has strengths in its convenient location, cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, weaknesses are apparent in the temperature control, lack of amenities, spotty WiFi, and limited services during certain periods. To enhance the guest experience, the motel should address these issues, particularly in areas such as temperature control and communication with guests.
Best TL Reviews
Convenient motel with a clean bed and big shower. Loved the large shower with newer tile work, very clean. The commode had been reconfigured at some point so it could be tricky and tight for some to maneuver and fit into the space. Hopefully one day all carpet will be gone from motels.
The ac was set on 72 and controlled by the office, so not a great nights sleep for a middle aged woman and 100 degree days.
Stayed here while in the area for work. Really a nice place to stay on a budget. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, WiFi and a big TV on the wall with plenty of cable channels. None of the frills like breakfast or a gym, but what do you expect for the cost? This is a high traffic tourism area and we were just grateful not to pay $220 - $500 per night like most other places. The staff was friendly and provided us with clean towels and service when we requested it. The manager and his wife were nice to talk to. We also appreciated that they didn't allow riff raff like your typical mom and pop motels are starting to do. So many of these places in the bigger cities we work are run down and the people staying are pure drama. Not the case here! We will definitely give them a call when we are back in the area.
Ok..this place is retro rad and the staff member I met was very nice. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It has updated bathrooms but I imagine the rest of it looks the same as it always has. I dropped 1 star because there was no in suite phone. For most people this wouldn't be a big deal at all but this location was in a cell phone dead zone for me and had I needed to call anyone for an emergency I'd be screwed. The WiFi was not so great either even right next to the window so I was unable to let my husband know where my toddler and I were for the night on our trip from WA to MN. I'd probably stay there again WITH my husband...we LOVE places like this!
The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool was an added bonus and the water temperature was perfect. They provided ice along with bags of ice for purchase. I would definitely stay again, it was a lovely experience.
We stayed over Labor Day weekend which we learned was their last weekend open for the season. Pool was closed for the season, no maid service, ice service stopped two days before our stay ended. We felt like we paid the same rate as other guests and we should have had all services available during our stay. Wifi was very spotty so entertainment for our kid was difficult while at the hotel. Room was ok, not the cleanest. Found items under the bed from previous guests. We did like that we could walk into town for meals.
Love this little Ma & Pa motel. I work for Scott, and he's the best boss ever. The rooms are immaculate. I've worked in hotel industry for many years and I've never walked into a room smelling so fresh, and looking so good. I'd recommend this place to everyone, including families.
Nice place. Quiet. Pool was great! We came to do some hiking for a weekend at the end of August, to just get away. We only live a few hours away. Would stay here again. Retro ma and pa's are cool.
Looks like a nice hotel, but they let me book 5 rooms for mid-September, then when I called them 2 weeks before my trip, they told me they are closed after Labor Day. So, even though I called to book the rooms and received a confirmation number, I now don't have rooms. No notification, no communication. Luckily I called, otherwise I would have shown up September 15th with several other people only to find out they're closed. Need a better reservation system.
