Quick Facts About Bridge Cafe
The Bridge Cafe has several strengths that make it a popular and enjoyable place to visit. Firstly, many customers appreciate the fact that the food is perfectly cooked and not greasy, despite its traditional greasy spoon cafe appearance. The menu is simple, offering cafe favorites such as traditional breakfasts, sausage, egg, and chips, which is well-liked by those looking for a classic and satisfying meal. The cafe also maintains high standards of cleanliness and tidiness, which adds to its appeal.
One of the greatest strengths of the Bridge Cafe is the wonderful and friendly owners. Customers often mention their positive experiences with the owners, who go out of their way to chat with visitors and make them feel welcomed. Despite the cafe's connection to the TV show "The Apprentice," the owners maintain an unpretentious and down-to-earth atmosphere, creating a friendly and relaxed environment for guests.
The cafe's traditional and old-fashioned decor is another strength that contributes to its charm. The nostalgic atmosphere helps maintain a traditional cafe ambiance, which many customers appreciate. Additionally, the limited free street parking outside the cafe is seen as a positive by visitors who value convenience and easy access.
Value for money is frequently mentioned as a strength of the Bridge Cafe. Customers find the prices fair, and the quality of the food is considered to be worth the cost. The cafe offers good service, with prompt and friendly staff that contributes to the overall positive experience of customers. The combination of good food, value for money, and friendly service is highly praised by visitors.
The Bridge Cafe also caters to a variety of dietary needs. One customer specifically mentions being a gluten intolerant vegan and was pleased to find a place that could cater to their allergies. The cafe offers a vegan brunch option with a variety of delicious dishes, including baked aubergine fritters and celeriac toast with scrambled tofu. This dedication to catering to different dietary needs adds to the appeal of the cafe for those with specific requirements.
While the Bridge Cafe has many strengths, there are also some potential weaknesses to consider. The limited menu may not appeal to those seeking a wider range of options or more innovative and creative dishes. Visitors looking for an artisan or posh style cafe may be disappointed by the traditional and old-fashioned decor of the Bridge Cafe. Additionally, the cafe's connection to "The Apprentice" may be seen as a negative for some individuals who prefer a more independent and unique establishment.
In conclusion, the Bridge Cafe has many strengths that make it a popular choice for customers. Its perfectly cooked and non-greasy food, simple menu, friendly owners, and good service create a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. The traditional and old-fashioned decor adds to its charm, and the ability to cater to specific dietary needs is a bonus for many visitors. While there may be some potential weaknesses, such as the limited menu and association with a TV show, the overall strengths of the Bridge Cafe make it a must-visit for those looking for a traditional and welcoming cafe experience.

Yes it's the cafe from the apprentice but it's so much more then that one of the best cafes I've been to in a while perfect in every way if your looking for a artisan posh style cafe go somewhere else if your looking for somewhere with good food, drinks and service clean and tidy with high standards then the bridge cafe is a must.
Didn't realise for ages this is café where they go at the end of The Apprentice. So unpretentious. Lovely owner & staff. Had s great hour or so chatting with them.
Back many years ago this was "George's" cafe. I used to go there with a 6pence coin to buy my Mother 5 cigarettes ! so many memories of this place.!!
First visit as I wanted to experience the 'losers cafe' from the first few series of the Apprentice.
Traditional down to earth cafe - mostly cooked breakfast type food. Good service from the staff. Fair price and well cooked food.
Old fashion decor - but helps it maintain a traditional cafe atmosphere
Limited free street parking outside.

As a fan of The Apprentice I just had to visit! Lovely quaint cafe and great hot chocolate! If I were to lose a task on The Apprentice, I wouldn't be complaining about coming here! The owners were lovely, came over to chat to us after guessing we were Apprentice fans and told us about the area and stories from the cafe and even offered to take a photo of us outside. Definitely worth the visit :)
Very friendly staff, very nice food and value for money
Traditional 'caff' with no nonsense grub, piping hot and served promptly. Proper baked potato was delicious. The owners, who recognised us for the Apprentice fans we are, could not have been more welcoming. A little gem, long may it thrive.
Popped in here as I heard that a star from this series apprentice, the 'I quite like bitter' guy is a local here. Being a gluten intolerant vegan, it can often be tricky for me to find a place that can cater to my allergies so I was thrilled to find this little gem. The great thing about their vegan brunch is not only can your experience be made bottomless, you'll chow down on everything from baked aubergine fritters to celeriac toast with scrambled tofu. DELICIOUS. I saw some posters up about their hot yoga classes which sounded great, practitioners get the chance to achieve strength and flexibility for both mind and body.
Def keen to try that next time. 5 stars
